Anybody have any idea on the real life specs of this car? and what we can expect for the game?

I don't think there is released any specs for it just yet on the game.

I would think it will be somewhere around the Stealth GT-R GT500 when it comes to performance. Maybe a bit less horsepower.

That has 590hp, 1050kg stock and competes with the highest non-LMP racers...so how did the GT-R not win the Nurb 24h then (the fastest runners there are R8 LMS level)? 💡

I'd say the HP is probably closest to GT4 spec if anything, but I don't know for sure. I've been wondering this myself as well...

They did win their class???

And I was just making thoughts... Nothing concrete!
Just call it wish thinking? ;)

Class, yes. Race...no. Manthey's Porsche won it again this year, as it has done for...about 4 out of 5 years now. The R8 LMS though shows up in the Nurburgring 24h races and tends to be among the top competitors in the race, yet thing is, it's not as fast as a GT-R GT500 Stealth Model in this game.

Now, there you got it...

It's not as fast as the GT-R GT500 in the game... In The Game ;)

But I won't argue anymore. We will see in a few days :D

I found this on a GT-R forum. It appears to be a quotation from Gary Finney:

"It is based on a USA spec car. running stock everything except KW suspension, bodywork has been changed to accommodate wider track, M2 automotive multipoint cage, 120 litre bag tank, lightweight dashboard. The weight is down to 1585kg.

The car is running a T/M cooler, bigger engine oil cooler, pas cooler, diff coolers. Needless to say it runs cool, we are seeing 110 degrees on the T/M.

12.5 x 18 forged rims on Michelin 30/68 R18 slick and wet tyres.

AP rotors (one set off the shelf at MH.....hang luggage) we are starting the race on J hook and endless pads. The car is also running extra brake cooling ducts.

FIA Race cat is installed, stock cats have been removed and exhaust system has been fabricated for single extra.

It has a rather daft wing on the back on the trunk that I have yet to work out what it is for or what it does.....good place to put stickers I guess?? However, we have discovered that it is the perfect height to eat dinner off!

Engine and t/m specs are totally stock as well as maps!!!!

Quickest time in VLN has been 8' 46 in VLN. "

1500Kg?

Ugly.

I agree... hefty, but the GTR just stock can handle a bunch of weight, so a tuned racing version has to be better. This will be a great car, but it's not really in a category that we can gather multiple cars of (LMP, DTM, etc.)

Since it's modified, wouldn't it have better overall performance than even the Stealth Nissan GT-R??

I don't think we could compare it to the Stealth(yet), but I'd imagine I'd be close. I'm thinking it'll handle like a AWD version of the Viper GTS-R from 2000. Yes, it's heavier than the Viper, but it should be able to cope with it better more than 10 years newer.

Racecar spec especially in a long race like the Nurburgring 24hr, doesn't mean much. And the N24 GTR is basically the 3.8L production car so it's probably closer to 480hp. While weight has been reduced from 1700+ kg to 1520kg, it's still over 200kg heavier than Manthey's Porsche RSR or any of the R8 LMS.

And don't discount the driver's expertise. The GTR was driven by mostly amateur (gentlemen) drivers including Yamauchi-san while team like Manthey has an all pro driver lineup. BMW for example brought their works team to the event. Looking at lap times- the top Porsche 911 RSR were clocking around the 8min30sec while the Nissan GTR fastest lap was up in the 9min10sec.
