Thx Johnny. I don't know why i always seem to have some wrong lane or small mistake during the race and was stuck behind Killer and Nico. They were too fast on the straight that i didn't got change to pass them.
Once Nico was behind me - pushing me - and we were able to catch leading group (ace, rap and you). Thx Nico:tup:
After last causion maybe everyone was making little mistake or wrong lane and i was able to pass all but Ace he was too fast.
All in all good race.

When I realised how much faster you were in the corners than me i knew I had to be the one pushing for us to catch up. :) Didn't really matter in the end since rap crashed and I got caught in the wreck but it's always nice to do things like that. :)
 
It was fun Nico. All that extra weight in Camaro make it slow in straight but make easier on the corners.

Thanks for the pics, some twisted steel out there.I'm super stoked I gotta new work truck a GMC 6500 16ft flatbed with a 454. I hope to see a large field this weekend.

i have done round low 1:04. Couple times 1:03.9xx.
 
Haven't touched it, will be way behind probably..
 
I'm going to be heading on to get some practice before the race today, feel free to join and maybe get some setup help.
Also, anyone who was wanting to test the Ford for next season. It is a prize for winning the B-Spec Indy 500.
 
Congrats Jammy on a solid win today. Looks like you've got the title in a headlock...one more to go though...:scared:
 
Thx. Was really good race. i did tried to get away from you couple times but draft was to strong. Saw my chance to go win and used it well. End of race (after pit stop) was nerve racking to me to try to keep you behind. I did small mistake but saw you did too so kept my distance.

Yeah you guys were unbeatable today, maybe if I hadn't lost the draft in the beginning but I'd probably lost it later anyway. So how fast did you guys go? Regularly in the 1:03s? I dipped in to it once with a 1:03.4 with a little bit of draft from Greest but not a huge amount. It was definitely the lap where I got the line just right, just couldn't find the same line again before or after that. ^^ Other than that I had a couple of low 4s but also some sixes..

Had to pit twice, apparently this was one of those tracks where they get their panties all bunched up over coming into the pits sideways...:rolleyes:

Yeah it was all right greest, that made my race much more fun than trying to catch ace by myself would have been (since i would never had caught him anyway :P)

And I was also a little bit pleased that I managed to win over you in the end. ;)

The first 24 laps or so, Jammy and I did a little bump draft to make a bit of space once we got clear of the field and we ran steady 1:03.5's. I went one lap too long and nearly spun in the last corner and then played catch up the rest of the race. I had one draft lap at 1:03.00x and one solo lap at around 1:03.4...the rest were 1:03.5-1:03.8 I think. I ran a similar set up to Indy, except I dropped the front end to run the same height front and back, which gave up a bit of straightaway speed but made it more stable in the corners.

One of the tricks to HSR is to run a high line in corner 2 and the last corner. Although the racing line (dark stuff) is low, the fastest way around is up near the curbing in those two corners. Makes a big difference in lap times. It's risky, because if you get a tire up on the curbing the guardrail sucks you in like a magnet.
 
Yeah that is the line I found with my fast time, I always did that on the last corner but corner 2 is harder to hit it perfectly. At least I know that now so I will be a bit closer to everyone else next time I race there. :P
 
Great job once again Jammy 2 for 2 on the road courses. Am highly looking forward to the finale at Motegi next week. Going to be a very special race, definitely different than what we have done so far. Lets make it a great end to the season and I hope for the same excitement next season. Also, positions still open for Ford test drivers for the last race.
 
Wait, have I missed something? What will be so different between this time on motegi and last time? except the extra 20 laps?
 
We will be doing 4 25 lap races, instead of a 100 lap race.
 
Ah, I had no idea about that, sounds cool though.. how will the points work?
 
The winners of the first 3 races will recieve 5 points. If someone can manage to win the first 3 events they will recieve a 5 point bonus. The last race will be normal points.
Also, due to the Daytona 500 staring before the race we will be holding the race 2 hours earlier on Sunday. There will be no qualifying, but we will line up based on points standings. Also the start for the other 3 races will be set to reverse grid.
 
17:00 GMT then? sounds fun, some extra points to pick up when I win all of those races. :)
 
Oh you were planning on winning all of those races. I will make sure to get out ahead of you and stay out of your way then. :lol::lol:

You won Indy in the GASS series if I am not mistaken. Also, did you want to put a bet on that.
 
No, I got lucky at Indy. Place a bet on what? If Angry stopped falling asleep during the race when he is in the pits he has a serious chance
