I cut a couple 50's in quali, I think the quicker was a 50:8XX.

You, Niko, are one of those that the old time oval racers here used to refer to as "One tough customer". Take it as the compliment that it's meant to be.

I look forward to racing with you again.

👍👍
I don't exactly know what that means but thanks i guess? :P I have no idea how you got under 51 though.. I could never do that without draft, maybe it's set up because mine was pretty much as it was when i bought it..

Next weekend is the real deal, and then it's daytona.. that's gonna be sick. :P Don't think the field will get split up as easily that time since you can ride in several lines through the corners and don't need to ever brake. ^^

Next race is Daytona. Its all about slipstream (drafting, bumpdrafting), keep yours driving line in cornes (don't change it: go down or up and stay there), don't do any mistake, ...

It's weird, in other racing my biggest problem is that in the long races i always make mistakes. So far in oval racing i seem to not have that problem.. Maybe the fact that i know i can catch up through slipstream make it easier not to push myself over the limit. :)

I tried to change my suspension last second to see if it would work... And nope failed terribly. Is anyone hosting a practice room this week at all?

By the way sorry I had to leave

Talking about suspension, i think i saw someone in a challenger with a really high suspension. Was that just my eyes or can a high suspension actually be better sometimes?

I was running 20 on the front and -20 on the rear if that's what you saw ;)

Might have been you, I just remember that one car looked much higher.. But I think it might have been the back that was high and that doesn't fit with your setup :P

I was with 30 in front 30 in back and I was at the back lol maybe that's why my car was slow lol

Must have been you then :) I have no idea if you were slow because of that because i really suck at tuning.. i just noticed that one car was riding high. ^^

After being a spectator for the pre season race I have just a couple observations to share.

#1 Cautions. If there is contact between two cars and either of them wrecks, a caution needs to be called. Your only screwing yourself if you don't call it. The field slows down as soon as a caution is called so you do have time to pause the game and type the letter C into the chat box. Can we all agree that the letter C is enough? No one wants to type the whole word. Alot of us mute our mic and this has come up a couple of times during the race where people are saying "caution, caution" and no one hear your crys. I would like to add that there is no bad blood for accidents. They happen, thats why we have cautions. To keep things competitive. Do not be embarrassed to call one. If you tap a guys rear quarter and he spins and you don't, that's a caution.

#2 Lapped Cars. If you are a lap down you cannot race or block any of the lead cars. This is not in the rules, its general racing courtesy. If you are a lap down you need to keep an eye on that rearview and move up the track a little and give the lead lap cars the bottom line. If your on a straight and some leaders are coming up on you, move to the left, slow down and let them pass. Do not make it so the catch you in the corner and have a hard time getting by you.

#3 Lap Down Pitting. If you are a lap down you must pit with the leaders. Angry unlapped himself on that last caution. That one is in the rules. Unless we want to do a lucky dog system.

Nice win Rap and nice P1 Greest.

Also everyone should watch sideview that you don't push driver beside you to wall or grass when you change your drivingline (that happened to me - been bump to wall).

Well, looking into sideview can cause accidents as well. lol. In Nascar they have spotters otherwise they'd be bangin doors in every turn. Also anyone not using a wheel doesn't have sideview. For us I would say we just need to hold our line. Which can be difficult at times. There is going to be bumping and rubbing going on no matter what. That's the fun part!

That was me right? In the straight before the last corner.. I really thought there were room there but i noticed it wasn't when i hit you. I check sideview as often as i can but sometimes you forget, it's a stressful situation especially on the last lap. I should take better care next time though. :) (Though that wall tap probably wouldn't have meant anything if it wasn't that it happened on the last lap, that was just an unlucky circumstance.)

Thanks Sass! Angry was instructed by Ace to stay out by the way.

Why would you even want to stay out after the second caution? The tires would not have lasted all the way, not in a competitive way at least.

Forgiven. Life goes on :)

I think I need to clear something up. I wanted to use this race as an experimental race and try some things out. When the the 2nd caution came out Angry was the only car 1 lap down. I told him to stay out and drive around another time and pit the next lap. The Lucky Dog rule exercised in the race went perfectly I thought. I did tell him to stay out even though the rules say to pit in with the leaders, so I take full blame for that one.

Now i understand what that LuckyDog thing means :)
I was wondering that for while and all these NASCAR roles (flags and so on) are kind of new to me.

Alright. Who is ready for Daytona on Sunday?

Always ready for daytona! It's one of the highlights on the calendar with its' high top speed and easy cornering. It makes for some tight and a bit risky side by side racing ^^

Im ready for it!! Really excited for the season to start. Daytona will be fun and can't wait to see everyone there! 👍

Not me ;( as long as I beat the green camaro I'm happy lol
