Overestimated or surprisingly bad cars.

A lot of understeering FR cars can be "fixed" if you buy the fully adjustable suspension just so you can zero out the default +0.20 rear toe. It's kind of surprising how much this helps a lot of them.

As a side note, I haven't tried the Enzo but it's supposed to handle worse than the 430 Scuderia. In real life a stock Scuderia beats an Enzo everywhere but the straights. Ferrari's own test driver says so.

^ +1. 👍

I was disappointed with the ZZII. It was a great little car in previous versions of GT and, before I got hold of one, a number of people on here were saying how it was one of their favourite sub 100K cars.

I just don't get on with it in GT5 - unpredictable under braking and understeers! :grumpy:

Some cars that I expected more from:

McLaren MP4-12C
RUF CTR “Yellow Bird”

125% agree. The McLaren is surprisingly nervous in a way that neither the 458 or 430 are. The Yellow Bird is just a piece of junk, more a museum piece than anything.

I actually like the Enzo and can set some pretty good times with it. It doesn't have the turn-in that the 430 and 458 do but it's still super quick--it just requires a bit of a different driving style.

Although some have posted about not liking this car, I actually like this car. I purchased this car not too long ago with the intent of only adding parts that would enhance it's handling and no power parts. The main purpose of this car is just to have something that not only sounds nice, but handles well and has a good amount of power (without modifications). This car was a series of cars I purchased with the intent of driving them on Nurburgring (the one track I dread the most) to get familiar with this track that's admired by so many. I took this car out for the first time today and really enjoyed driving it. I like cars of all genres however, amongst all other genres I prefer muscle cars. I'm surprised to say this and will openly admit that I actually think the Lexus LFA is the best sounding car in GT5. I think I may have just found my new favorite car in this game.

Cars that I found underwhelming are unfortunately among the most mentioned in this thread.

Enzo - I was expecting something much more nimble than it is represented in the game. I've tried several well respected tuners' settings and still feel there's something not quite right with it. Shame there isn't a way to make it look more like the Maserati.

Veyron - Again, down to the understeering issues, although reverting the ride height and damper settings to those at stock does seem to temper it a little. Before doing this it stopped turning even the slightest bends on SSR7 beyond 220mph.

Skylines - OK, underwhelmed due to the loss of power over the numerous generations of the game. I was expecting 900+bhp fire spitting cruise missiles, instead we end up with rather mild mannered, sometimes unbalanced tourer.

I've also seen some in this thread that really I can't see why. The option Z only really suffers the lag if your gearbox is tuned slightly wrong (same with the HPA Golf), the ZZII is almost glued to the road with the right suspension and drivetrain settings and the same goes for the Nismo 400R.

There is only one right answer to this:

Shelby GT350R

It's an undrivable mess that makes the Yellowbird feel like a GT-R. Take it to Trial Mountain and watch it spin out in an endless combination of situations that should be completely harmless. It's so much worse than similar old American V8 cars that it's stunning.

My only disappointment is I couldn't take the Veyron to its claimed top speed of 409kph my maximum was 391kph everything stock standard.
People who said that the Enzo understeer must be joking, that car is a handful and really tail happy. I was driving it with everything off
