Overestimated or surprisingly bad cars.

The 8C is a bit underwhelming, as is any Super GT Lexus SC430. They are a joke compared to the NSX and GTR's...

I find the understeer to be one of the better aspects of the physics modeling. Especially in some of the higher end cars. You have to understand that manufacturers don't want to kill their customers. It is easier for unskilled drivers to hit the brakes when they're too hot in a corner than it is for them to apply the correct amount of countersteer, if they even know what that means in the first place. Almost every car, regardless of drivetrain layout, will understeer approaching the limit.

^This. At least someone gets why all the cars understeer so bad.

LOL...true...you won't find a lot of supercars that when turning sharply at 150 mph as we do on GT5, don't understeer or carnage would ensue every day. A Ford GT has no front downforce...what do you expect it to do when turning at racing speeds without trying to tune it?

the buggati veyron won mine didnt use it for 3/4 months found it completely useless as a sports car(understeers) not fun (awd wont let you slide) somehow overpowered(1200hp) and not that fast considering a cerbera speed 12 can beat it for half the price.

Spoon S2000 Race Car SUCKS!
NSX Proto LM Race-really disappointed especially with a 1.75mill tag(sounds good at 11k RPM though)
Enzo-havent yet looked for a solid tune
R10 TDI-love the cockpit but HOLY throttle control
Nissan GTR LM Road Going Vers.-500k and it sucks harder than a Spoon S2000
Speed 12-i really want to love this car but 1000+hp makes it undriveable

What is the point of this post? Anyway I have to say that the Enzo was a 1 mil disappointment also the F1s purely for the fact that you can't race them in anything except for that seasonal.

ever heard of a one make race =D lol im mean there al the same!!!

It's realistic, but some of the bigger muscle cars are NOT fun around corners even with racing softs. Dodge Charger R/T 440, I'm looking at you.

Skid Recovery Force - On (Driving Options) will probably help too, That's suposed to be for newbees but I set my fastest times with the SRF on.

That's because SRF is a "cheat" that gives you more grip than the car would realistically have. The other driving aids simulate real driving aids, and usually make you slower in return for making the car more stable.

A a complimentary thread to Neil1280's thread, what has disappointed you the most?

For me it's the Audi R8 '09 and the Citroen "race car". Absolute piles of rubbish. No power, no speed, no need to call them race cars. Cost a fortune and will get you nowhere, unless you're racing against production cars.

There are more, for sure, but that's a start.

I totally agree that the Citroen "race car" is rubbish. Although I haven't had first hand experience with it, my best mate assures me it is a complete waste of money

^^^^Regarding the above post

It is. 1 drive, no transmission, and takes forever to accelerate. Don't get it.

My biggest dissapointment: Every electric car in the game
I get that it is insanely unrealistic (Borderline retarded) to use an electric car in a formal race, but this is a game. I want to be able to use whatever car I feel like to do some of these races, and lo and behold, I can't, because 4 laps in my battery dies and I'm stuck at 50. All I want is a little recharge at the pits. I know I will probably be trolled for this, and I don't care. I want to use my glorified segway in a race for 15 minutes.

Funny thing is, whenever I use my Citroen GT Concept (2 mil for the looks alone :) ), The computers never seem to run out of battery, and I always do........

I can't believe people are bashing the LFA. When running against anything in the 550-583PP class, nothing can touch it. No matter if it's a short technical course or wide open like Monza, it can simply dominate.

Now, my biggest disappointment is the TVR Tuscan Speed 6. This car was 'nasty' in GT4, but totally understeers in GT5. I have tried several different suspension and alignment settings, but still pushes. If someone has found a 'cure' please share it with me.

I recently bought an F1 GTR and it sucks... oversteers too much and it's too slow overall.

Lamborghini LP640. Heavy, sluggish, surprisingly boring to drive.

One word: Veyron I hate this car!!! It just doesn't steer at a speed of over 70 mph worst car in the game by my standard
EDIT: what is up with the tesla? What happened to the acceleration on that car?

it has acceleration ?!?!

People that complain about the Enzo don't have the suspension tuned properly or probably don't use their brakes early enough. Stiffen your rear shocks, rear sway bar, and/or have the rear ride height lower than the front... that'll remove the understeer.

What do I hate more than the ferrari enzo?

fanboys like this, who will REFUSE to admit, (till the day they die) that in GT5 the enzo just handles like ****

Face it, theres nothing you can do to the enzo to make it handle good

I've tried about 6 different tunes on it. it just doesnt turn. you can be a fanboy all you want, but go google the subject.

GT5 ****ed up the enzo plain and simple.

Go do the Sarthe seasonal 5 times, and switch to an F40. and tell me the enzo handles 'good'

Denial bro, denial.

LOL at everyone whinging that there Lamborghini or Evo Or Audi has understeer. Hey fools, its called 4WD, has a tendency to understeer when powering through corners. Alot of the cars here that people complain handle crap, obviously havent tuned it properly. I have an Enzo, A McLaren F1, McLaren MP4-12c, Audi RS6, All of which handle well, and are fast. About the ACR, yea, it has understeer, if you decided to plant all 1000hp mid corner. Most of the problems here are driver/tune related. Not the car.

Option Stream Z, every time I go off the line it feels like a stalled it because at 5mph it changes gear

Some cars that I expected more from:

McLaren MP4-12C
Nismo 400R
Supra RZ
Enzo
Veyron
Mercedes-Benz CLK 55 AMG
RUF CTR “Yellow Bird”
Ferrari F40
Ferrari 512BB

For those whining about the Enzo, keep it stock and it's fine.

But...But...those people that need to have the fastest car on the track, and need to win will suffer! :dunce:

I do totally agree with you here

A lot of it is driver-induced as well.

When I bought my Evo 8 and started autocrossing it, I figured it was an understeering car, and I offered to let one of the experienced autocrossers drive it at an event. I told him my thoughts about how much it understeered, etc. He proceeded to spin the car out about 10 seconds into his first run, and then joked with me after the run, "I thought you said this car understeered!!"

The point of course was that he knew how to get the car to rotate, and at that point, I had a lot to learn.
