They (well, me) think that he's winning an argument against belligerent idiots. That doesn't say much, but it's something. I can't believe you think that patriotism is an imaginary high house, or something equally laughable. Ha.
Nationalism is the basis of our world. If you refuse to accept that, I suggest you follow my earlier advice. Die. Kill yourself, if need be.

Doug, I thought you weren't going to post here anymore. Don't get all excited and start swearing on us, cowboy!
**** the **** out of you, ****ing asshole!

If you ever tried to come up to Aberdeen, they'd have to put you in an oven so you wouldn't freeze to yourself!

The other thread was the one I wasn't going to post in. :)

Imagine what intelegent people think of you.

The word is "intelligent." Or, "smart," if you can't take the former's four syllables.

Can you define "M5's attitude" for me?

You mean it was going in a particular way before?

"What's the most overrated country?" And everybody points in a different direction, I don't expect all people here to think the same and post a single country unanimously, but overall the thread was just being tugged in different ways from the start.

You're right though 'oosacker', it's become another typical member squabble now, with a little senseless posting here and there... okay, a lot of senseless posting most everywhere.

I like senseless posting when it has a point (Har).

I fight idiocy with my own form of idiocy. My "Higher Idiocy", if you will, can easily defeat all oncomers who use run of the mill idiocy. This "Higher Idiocy", hereby referred to as "Gustav" (Look at what it did to the French. Hm, comparing the French to idiots. Comparing idiots to idiots. I like it.) is the greatest thing that ever happened to online arguments.

The other way by which I mean people start harrassing each other using bad words.

i dont feel harrassed nor do i feel that i am harrassing others, its just banter....

yanks say the sky is blue and i'll argue its green....i'll say the grass is green and the yanks argue its red...none of it makes sense...

also to the breast that said i was shying away....have you ever considered there is a time difference between our two countries?...when you post your guff in the afternoon its like 3am here...i am alseep you silly person....dont flatter your feeble brain into thinking that i'll get up out of ma scratcher just to argue the bollocks with you.....

when you dont hear from me perhaps you should wait a few hours till i get up...

so ghost...reply now or shy away you freak...

Well, this thread's about two posts away from a 'click'. Let's try and make some effort to get back on track, shall we?

The most over rated country i have ever been to when you look at the holiday brochure and then actually go there would be Holland....

mainly because the dutch are unfriendly and snobbish, and it rained the whole time....

the most underrated country in my opinion, for what it is worth, is the Philippines....i have been there 4 times now and if you watch what your doing and stay away from the danger areas, its the most beautiful country in the world...away from the polution and poverty of its big cities....the people are friendly, the scenery and beaches are stunning and the weather....some of the best on the planet....

ofcourse there is an exception to every rule...there are arses no matter where you go...

Philippines. Two words. Abu Sayaf. I like my holidays under the sun, rather then the gun.

Overrated? Egypt. Sure they have the pyramids, but other then that, its all sand.

like i say...stay away from the south and your reasonably safe...

i was one on a trip into the jungles of northern luzon when our coach was stopped in the middle of nowhere....8,000 miles fom home and 20 or so masked men came on with automatic rifles, shoved them in our face and ushered everyone off the bus...

that was pretty scary....they asked to see our passports and interviews us as to why we were there....

10 mins later they put us back on the bus and we drove off.....i still dont know why it happened....luckily the werent henchmen of Abu Sayaf....we would be hostiges by then...

thats just one bad incident in an otherwise great trip...

Canada. Everyone hates this "country", but it's so absolutely worthless that it is still the most overrated country. No country could ever be more overrated.

That is, unless you count Australia as a country.

Australia is a country:irked:

Britain, everyone thinks we are like America, just aint so big and that we follow them everywhere. Okay we do, but we are overated in the fact we have the worst public services, goverment, health services, military (today we shall cut another brigade.....Today we bought 20 apaches, but umm...we cant fly them for another 6 years) women and house prices

In your post you said that Japanese are 'unfriendly' (if thats the right word to use) to foreigners...an opinion which you read on the net.

I'll have a look at what google comes up with.

If you think Japanese are "unfriendly" to foreigner then you will know that America is worst. I live in America, I love America and will probably never move out of America. I am Chinese and live in the south, there is nothing but racist remarks to foreigners. Even though i was born in America i get easily piss when people make fun of my race or any race in that fact. I dont go one day without hearing racist remarks down here and if you think japanese are unfriendly to foreigners, then your probably white ( sorry if that sounds racist i cant spell cacasion or sumthing). Most of the one who make fun of foreigners are MOSTLY all white only once or twice a different race.

When i went to china last year and for the first time, I thought it was disgusting and most of you will too, i dont want to go there again it just scares me how dirty some part of china is. But anyways while i was in China we went to a resturant, my family and me. Anyways there is a bunch of white people probably coming to china for a vacation or some reason but they were making fun of the waiter i mean why!? Your at their country and are making fun of them? Thats just wrong in my opioin, but yeah extremely sad to see.

I just think America is the most racist in my opioin to foreigners.

i know its a continent, not a country, but the whole of europe is pretty useless and crappy

no offence to any europeans, i felt like bagging a country that isnt NEW ZEALAND

If we hadn't driven the bloody romans out Britain would be one of the greatest countries in the world as opposed to America's pet dog. Like in Monty Python "What have the Romans ever done for us?" "Well, there's the aquaducts, sanitation, medication, straight roads...etc."

When I lived in San Fransisco my flat was a couple blocks up the hill from China Town. When the wind was right the stench would knock you out. At night and early in the morning you could walk through when all the shops had packed in and see the layer of scum on the sidewalk, exuding the offensive odors. In the windows you could see cloudy, filthy fish tanks from which resturaunts took their food, and I saw and heard chicken slaughtering from open ally doors all the time. The whole area was pretty disgusting and I'd never eat at a resturaunt in China Town; it is not the kind of "authentically ethnic" you want.

And there are the periodic outbreaks of teberculosis, spread by chinese men's inclination to clear their lungs and throats and spit it out on the street.
