Oversteer or Understeer?

Just curious what the players here prefer in general.

I prefer oversteer while off the throttle and understeer while on the throttle.

Oh, ok, that's quite different from what I suspected.
Was looking up this series on Wikipedia and learned that it's about "collecting and recycling human rubbish", so I thought you're maybe trying to tell me that the poll is either rubbish or has been asked before and hence is "recycled"😄

For my tuppence worth - I’m a big fan of oversteer and have always had a preference for rear wheel drive. All I need now is the requisite throttle control to maximise the joy.

I can control oversteer more than under so over it is for me.

For me, personally I'd prefer a controlled oversteer on corner entry but a stable corner exit (understeer).

I prefer neutral handling if I can get it. I don’t feel like this game does a good job of handling how a real car acts with oversteer. Everything is basically snap oversteer. There is no such thing as power sliding or drifting. It’s either grip or the backend tries to come out from under you.

In the real world, tires have grip even when they are sliding. You can hold the throttle and power slide or hold the car on a line. But that’s not how GT7 works.

So I would rather the the whole car slide equally on corner exit because at least it’s something manageable. But if I can get a bit of lift off oversteer I like that on a car.

I'd rather have too-much turn-in and not need it than too-little and need it.
