So glad he got to have his final show the other week. It was a fitting send off for one of the all time great front men.

Something typically Ozzy...
He remembered his father saying to him when he was a youngster: "I've got a feeling about you, John Michael Osbourne. You're either going to do something special or you're going to go to prison."

"He was right, my old man, I was in prison before my 18th birthday," Ozzy said.

Rest in peace Ozzy

Some part of me thinks that when the final show was done his body thought that that's it, no need to struggle anymore, time to finally rest. Relieved of the decades of hard life he could take it easy for once and then just shut down.

Didn't Sharon say she and Ozzy had a suicide pact and they'd go to like Switzerland or Sweden or something if their health deteriorated? It would almost be better if he did it on his terms instead of suffering.

Sad news - I've been listening to Black Sabbath since '89... I got the Rock Aid Armenia single (and album) and "Paranoid" was the B-side on the single. I also listened to Alan Freeman's Rock Show on BBC Radio 1 on a Saturday night, and I loved "Iron Man"... I later bought 'Between Heaven & Hell' (compilation album), and "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" has been a favourite ever since.

It's hard to believe that the original band were able to reunite once again for a gig just three weeks ago... that gig raised an incredible £140 million for charity - that's the same amount that the Band Aid Charitable Trust has made in over 40 years - with the help of Tom Morello and a star-studded supporting cast, the original Black Sabbath line-up managed to equal that in one night... absolutely amazing.

RIP Ozzy

What an absolute legend, going out after a great event of a concert with Back to the Beginning- and not only that, he looked like he was enjoying it from the first minute up until the end.
He'd done it all, from the highest of highs (pun intended, judging by how he was in the '70s and '80s) to the lowest of lows, and being an incredible and influential artist.
I like to imagine that he's taking some shots with Mr. Lemmy and hanging out with Randy Rhoads now...
RIP Ozzy

So sad to hear that Ozzy is gone. But I'm glad that he got to experience how much love everyone has for him at that final show a couple of weeks ago. Black Sabbath is one of my favorite bands.

I saw Ozzy as a solo artist in Birmingham, AL in 1986 or so I think supporting the Ultimate Sin album. Motley Crue was the opener.

I got to see Black Sabbath on one of the Ozzfest tours in Atlanta but I can't remember if Bill Ward was the drummer or not. I remember Marilyn Manson was one of the opening acts. I think I saw maybe one or two of the other Ozzfests with Ozzy as a solo.

Thank you so much for all of the great music you were a part of. RIP

Man that Sabbath final show weeks ago was fitting wasn't it.

Waking up to this news sucks but I'm not surprised, just really sad.

RIP Ozzy.
