I'm really starting to get back into gt5. Just wonder will getting a g27 help my experience and should I use Manuel gears.

If you like driving, my advice is: go for it, you won't regret. Using manual shifting is the best. I just can't drive automatic, I don't feel involved. I like to drive H-pattern almost all the time, even online where it supposedly makes you slower.

Wheel, manual, no aids, 100% of the time

and to the guy above, you're definitely losing time using the H shifter opposed to the paddles

Wheel>pad (more accurate steering/acceleration/braking)
Manual>automatic (better gear choices for corners/more power out of each gear)
Flappy-paddles>H-shifter (faster shifting)

I'd love to get myself a wheel, but I have no place to put it.

This is it I don't not have the money or the space for a wheel. What is H shifting. Gonna practice with Man gears later.

Your traditional shifter in a traditional car - AKA the "stick". You shift in an "H" pattern rather than with flappy-paddles on the steering column.

I prefer to drive with Manuel because I find it to be an easier way to get the most out of my car, but many people have found Otto to be better suited to their driving style.

Wheel offers the most realistic experience and, IMO, the best level of control.

Why would you drive with this guy?

Wheel and manual. I started using manual 6 months ago and it has really helped me a lot. Controlling the car during corners and so is just so much easier.

I've never met Manuel but I refuse to race anyone online if they are using auto.

I will make a note to kick you out of my room if you enter so you won't have to race with me. I use manual sometimes and I also use automatic just depends on what I feel like at the time. Good luck finding lots of racing rooms where everyone is using manual only.
