The Pagani Zonda R! Boy that car is my best buy in a long time. Its a thrill to drive and quite fun to use in the super car seasonals! Its way better than the Zonda Lm racecar in my opinion.

I would stick with the Zonda R. The Zonda LM race car is not very fast at all. It has lower hp than other Group C and old LMGT cars, doesn't turn as well, and will just generally get ran over if you race it online. I put all of my race cars around the Top Gear Test Track, and I found that neither Zonda come anywhere near the Toyota 88-CV, Nissan R89, Mazda 787B, Suzuki Escudo, Bentley Speed 8, or Pescarolo C60 Hybride. If memory serves me, even an Audi R10 is capable of a faster lap if you're a skilled driver.

Can the Escudo actually turn corners in GT5? In the old games it only did straight lines.

It did so because people had the wheelie setup on it. Because of the short wheelbase, AWD, and high front to rear downforce ratio, it can corner better than most of the vehicles in the game. Also factor in the seamless straight line traction, high power, and low weight, and you can see why it's a top contender on the circuit.

Even with the power it has, it doesn't go much faster than 200mph no matter what you do to it.

In previous games the Escudo could do nearly 300mph, or more if you used the wheelie setup, and regardless of setup it just understeered so bad that you could never take it to a real circuit as it would not turn on tarmac. I've not driven it in GT5.


As for the LMP/Group C cars, obviously they would be faster than the Zonda R. The Zonda R is some crazy prototype track car, like a GT1 car with more power, or atleast something along those lines. It sure is fast, but it's nowhere near the second fastest car.

The Zonda-R is a prize car in the B-Spec professional GT World Championship I believe so you can't go wrong, although I LOVE the Zonda LM car.

Both Mazda 787B's and both peugeot 908's are far quicker than the Zonda R. Thats 4 cars and of course there are the Ferrari's and the FGT, also the Veyron in a strait line.

The Zonda LM is actually a pretty good car once you tune it up right. Still the Zonda R is the better car, by a long margin, probably the most exciting to drive too!
