Paint swap question

It's one time use. If you want that color again, you need to buy/win a car in that color.

However, if you intend on using that color more than once, make a second account and keep gifting the car back and forth. Each time you do, you will earn that paint color, and can also gift the other accounts paint colors I believe.

Interesting. So you give the car back and forth but never the paint item?

I also have a question. If you win a car, and you get asked if you want to drive it (or something) yes or no; if you select yes, you get the color item from that car; however, if you select no, you won't get it, even if you select that car to drive later on. Is this a bug? Because it seems really stupid this way...

For example: My little brother has bought the Acura NSX today, did the Race Mod, and wanted to paint the car in green. He didn't had green paint at that moment, but won a green Lupo later on. However, he didn't select yes when he got asked if he wanted to drive the Lupo, and now he hasn't received the green paint. Even when he selected the Lupo later on from his garage, he didn't received it. Great huh?

i don't remember getting a new color when i got the lupo but maybe you guys should try using a green from another car because i don't think you can use colors from race versions of cars

It doesn't have anything to do with selecting yes to use the car right now or not. Some cars don't give you the paint and some do. It may be a bug, may not be, but it's not related to which option you choose when you get the car.

Its not a bug, the Lupo has decals on its paint job, so obviously its not transferrable, just like the rest of the racing cars and cars like the Viper or Cobra which have stripes or whatever.
There are select non-decal/race cars that also don't give you paint chips, presumably for related reasons.

Its really not a big deal, if you want a green paint, go buy a car in green..simple.

None of the race-liveried cars give paint chips, although it would be cool to have a race livery on any car you wanted. :D

So i got a Veyron with a Champaign color that im not really fond of. If i paint it, i guess it will no longer be two tones?

Thanks for the clarification guys. I thought you would get the basic (green) color of the Lupo, not the decals ofcourse. I'll tell my little brother he has to buy a green car if he wants green paint. :)
