Well I went playing today after school for two games of a hunting game we play. One guy goes and hides while the others hunt him down.

Anyway I was hiding up in a tree with my gun aimed down the trial. My friends bother walked right in line so I opened up put three in his chest and two in his mask. He goes down and is out so I figured that more people were right behind him so I got ready and waited. Then all of a sudden one shot came from behind and missed me by inches. So I turned and there was 4 guys there shooting at me. So I opened up and struck 2 of them in the masks causing them to be out. Then my friend got a good aim and opened his Tippman 98 up on me, I was startled and lost my grip and I fell out of the tree. It hurt but it still was a good game even though I lost.
 
Lol @ Eismann, sounds like fun.
Only thing is, when your up in a tree, you have to make your shot count and you cant maneuver that much either.
Mask shots suck as they have the paint going through the breather holes and you get a mouthful of paint, ekkk.
The other thing about mask shots, they hurt because of the velocity of the paint in the ball breaking on the mask. ouch.
Keep having fun. My season begins in about a month, still too hot here in the South.

The way we play is you have to hit em in the kill zones thats why we aim for the mask and the chest.

This Friday afternoon and Saturday there is a tourney at our local field and my friend entered us in it so we are going to play. I can't wait :D

Your one of the few ppl Ive spoken with that actually play like we do.
Heh, whats the use in playing if you cant get hit in the finger and have to quit because of a stupid rule. I like the kill rules and applies to real life combat when you play.

Thanks we should do real well. My friend is a super sniper so we got that covered.

And the kill zone rule is probalay the best way to play it makes it more like real life combat like you said.
 
I just try to shoot at tree trunks. Those represent the approximate diameter of a person and make believe they are ppl.
Aiming for certain areas on the trunk makes for better targeting.
Ive done this in my backyard (big yard) but the neighbors still complain about the noise of the gun. :lol: :haha:
Cans is good but can be messy.
If you dont mind psychodelic trees, just shoot at them.

Try shooting from different angles and use some running tactics as well while shooting.
Learning how to run while shooting becomes necessary when storming someone.
The more comfortable you are with your gun in many situations will improve your technique in using the gun and become accurate.
Remember game situations in which youve got stuck. Remember that moment and how you couldve prevented it and practice what you need to not get hit while shooting.
Sorry for the postwhoring on the subject but paintball comes second to me as cars are my first love. ;)

All right I'm going out to see if I can't get in some practice before it gets to late. Even though it is 8:30 and its darker then dark out. I just hope I have some Co2 left after last weekend.

here's one of the practive sessions that we used to use.

Set up a barricade in your back yard. Nothing elaborate, just something that blocks your view of the yard. put a bunch of card board boxes out there. Get into a shooting position behind your barricade. Lean out real quickly, and tag one of the targets with two shots. This works on your snap shooting. the ability to lean out take a shot, and back in without exposing yourself for to long.

We've also done that as two barricades, that you sprint from one to the other, shooting two shots while moving. This works on your ability to move from bunker to bunker up the field, while pinning opponents.

Nice gun man. Looks like a Dye gun with a dye two piece barrel. Barrel looks like a 10 inch and is short for close range firing.
Looks very spyder like to me. ;)
Get the bigger barrel and youll shoot more accurately.

Any way our tourney went well. We almost won. We got second which isn't to bad. It was real close.

We got a a pratice match against another team from out school tomarrow. It should be good and the best part is that we are going to play a all out game, no rules and you die when you are hit in the kill zone. I can't wait. I'll let you know how we did tomarrow.
 
I'm envious man. The weather is just now starting to cool for future play.
I just got the gun, cup (hehe) and everything ready for the season.
Now that the kids are growing bigger, they will be easier targets contrary to what they think. ;)

Damn we smoked the other team. We won all 3 of the games :D

I got 12 kills myself so I'm pretty happy now. I earned another ranking on our team. I now have 3 gold stars on my mask.

On our team we have a ranking with stars 5 being the best. It kinda hard to explain how we do it but its kinda like the army.

Well tournies are off till November 17th but then there is a big one. High School Speed Ball Challenge. I can't wait.
 
An update on the play.
I just went into a place called Warped Sportz in which they have playing fields. They are tournament style fields and had a blast.
Too bad my marker was such a crappy shooter.
Since I just went low pressure on the gun, polished all of the internals and made it more efficient, the gun still shoots kind of crooked. Sometimes it shoots good, sometimes not. Maybe its the fact that my regulator went out and need to replace it with a Palmers Stabilizer for more accurate shooting. This weekend, it didn't shoot worth a darn. :banghead:
Co2 sucks and if any of you are using co2, go to the compressed air and invest in a tank designed for compressed air. Your marker will shoot much better and allow the marker to be more accurate.
Anyway, if everything works out just right, I'll have a new marker for me that is guaranteed to be accurate for my type of gameplay.
It sucks to shoot first, miss the shot because of lowly equipment and get taken out.
My season has begun again and am ready for some serious fun.
