I just started paintballing and I have gone twice now and I"m going on the 28th dose any one here paintball? and if so any tips on geting better?

I'm new here so I was wondering who all was a member at the gran turismo 2 site? I was a LONG time ago you might know me as slimshady, or justin morris

long live civics! :honda:

I paintball all the time. my best advice is to pretend they are real bullets coming at you, pretend that your really in a gun fight and it only takes one to kill you. it puts you into a good state of mind that makes you more concious and aware of your position. Dont try to shoot as many balls as you can at a target, rather take well aimed bursts instead. Dont rush, most of the time its good to let the target come to you. Pretend yourt in a real war and youll do great.;

what kind of paintball do you play ? I normaly play speed ball but I have played flag in the middle and capture the flag. It' not very hard to pretend that one shot kills because it dose were I play! what kind of gun do you use? I have used prana's before but I was thinking about geting a tippmen 98 custom. is that a good gun?

This is an excellent gun!!!

I hate Tippman 98's they were good markers but are just ok now. I think Spyder Shutters are nice and JT Excelerator 6.0.

I have a JT Excelerator 3.5. The tuned down version of the 6.0. Its a real nice cheap marker.

I have a 2001 Autococker with a WGP Hinge, Vigilante Regulator,12 CP barrel, ANS Quickpull bolt, KAPP Beavertail, Shocktech drop, 12V Revolution, and a 68/3000 psi Me'Lee tank. Shoots like a dream :)

This is my gun back when I had just got it. Since then it was upgraded alot and sold.

Do you any of you guys play speedball or just rec?

Heres one for ya's: You need a shooters licence in my state (Victoria) to play, thats why last time I went over the border into NSW to play, great stuff, nothing like having paint fired ya head at a million miles an hour

Some serious weaponry here youve got fellas

I've wanted to play since I was little, but haven't got the money required. Capture the flag sounds fun, and it always was my favorite game in grade school.

The day we went to play we had a few games of CTF, ambushed 2 guys from about 20 meters away as they where trying to steal our flag, funnily enough, they stopped straight away :D

Nice Cocker

if u get tippmann 98 with reactive trigger, becareful it eats up co2 fast and that and the flatline would be a nice set up

Can anyone think of a reason why I wouldn't be able to take Nelsplat winter formula paint balls to a site that uses Tippman Semi-auto paintball carbine (is that the whole name?)? I have e-mailed the PB site, posted on their message board, but haven't rung them yet, and got no reply.
Is it worth taking the risk and just turning up with them?
i liev an hour away, and would cost me alot morw to buy the ammo there.

the first time i tryed paintball, i got shot in the balls:( :banghead:

never, never again......................................

Some feilds wont let you bring your own paint, you just have to check and see.

Yup, we did it.
We won first place tie in our first ever tournament (Paintball).
We originally started badly with a 2-4 win/ loss and came back from all adversity to get a first place tie with a very good team.
We played 9 teams at this tournament (15 total games for the day) and were eventually divided into two divisions, beginner and rookie.
Since we were beginners in this tourney, we were surprised to have made the grade to Rookie division. We were ecstatic about it too.
We were slow to start, but when it came down to playing our game (which took a few games), we did and kicked butt, to the surprise of all of the other teams there and us.
We tied for first place and since the prize selection didn't account for a tie, we battled it out in a 2 out of three fight for first place prizes.
The team we battled were veterans of tournament and we gave them a good fight. We lost those two in a row but still came out with the first place tie and second place prizes.
It was the most fun I've had in a long time and all of the work, effort and training with the team has made us winners. I got to hand it to my team mates, they made the grade and have bigger and better tournies coming in the next weeks.
So for all of those that miss me on the boards, you can see what I'm doing now.
Just like cars, I love to excel in anything that I do, convey that to others in hopes that it too will rub off in a good way to improve and better them too.
Three more tournaments in the next 5 weeks, each getting harder as we go and wish us luck in that we will continue to improve our game and win (or just place) in the next tournies.
Btw, we (the team) have been playing (collectively) for over 12 years and have just formed this team. Going from woods ball to tourney play is where it's at.

For those that have never played, go to some of the local paintball fields that are around your area and you will notice that most will be very safety conscious.
For those that are afraid of getting shot or mugged on the field, then those are the ones that really won't be a true paintballer.
Anyway, get out there and shoot some people, legally. :D

So Misnblu, all you ever do is come to GTP once and while, post in this thread, but never do any real moderating?
You're correct.
Considering that I am one of the original members of the GTPlanet, Jordan has given me the privileges to be moderator, years ago.
I still play the game of gt3, am 68 percent finished in the game and right now, don't have the time to post on this website or any of the others I am a member of, because of paintball.
If you had a car club, paintball team that you not only sponsor but coach, have a job in which I work 10 hrs a day, and have a house to take care of, two cars to take care of, you too would post very little.. ;) :D
Oh and lastly, yes, I do stay in the background, have been doing my job when I see the time and when I do, don't always makes posts about doing my duties here.
Is there anything wrong with that??
Is spite of the fact that I don't contribute to the site as much as I used to, Jordan has still given me the honor of being a moderator.
If there is a problem with that, let me know or Jordan know and we'll go from there.
Later.
Misnblu
