Ok so I'm doing heaps of stuff to my cam cover for the mounting of my COP ignition, but that you can read about in my thread. While I have it off I'm getting it sandblasted, and ultimately painted.
I was just going to go with the safe Black wrinkle paint, but as a couple of people have mentioned, it's a bit boring and would be no different from all the cars out there just slapped together with black paint. I obviously need a colour that goes with the colour of the car, and with all the blue hoses, etc within the engine bay. And it needs to look AWESOME
Not a whole lot will be visible under the Charge Cooler, but what does stick out is quite noticeable. I don't really want to go body colour either, I was hoping for a vibrant, but not ricey colour that ties it all in. I've included a picture, just imagine that the charge cooler is plumbed up properly, with blue silicone hosing, it's painted a fresh black and the heat shield on the turbo is also freshly painted black.
This thing also could get quite hot so I'm thinking I'll have to stay with heat proof paints?
My original idea was a deep purple, but I've been thinking of a teal colour too, but I think that would be too strong. Don't think I want blue. Anyway, thoughts?
