Will hopefully race this one today, looks like the best one out there. the RWD event is good but 550PP and R tyre's isn't exactly challenging.

Managed to have one race earlier today. There was one punter, who soon got tired and retired from the race. Some of the other drivers were just over enthusiatic. I was in an f430 (using the DR tune) and was whupped by the cali's. I think this will provide some great racing, specially when the tunes start coming in.

I am absolutely loving this already. In my first race I tried a max power S3-shod California and it was slippery as hell but bloody fast on straights.

Finally got to race GTP_spyrrari1 and it was as I expected a complete pleasure. The number of times he had to wait for me when i threw the Cali off though....10 laps worth haha....what a gentleman and a damn fast driver. 👍 My best lap in the Cali was a very high 2'09 or a very low 2'10...that kind of range.

Second race I took the 111R/Tuned on S3s as well and christ almighty what GRIP! I had max aero on it as well. Started off in like 6th place with a 9 second gap to 1st place by the end of lap 1, but by lap 10 I finished a meagre 2 seconds behind. Another Cali won the race but I was slaughtering it on the bends, losing hand over fist on straights. My best lap here was a 2'08.175

EDIT: hahaha guess we have to get used to there being a long time between posts, the race times are 20mins+

All the best

fastest lap with the Cali was a 2.05,6xx
with the Suby 07 a 2.05,1xx
no slepstream!

best racetime from me with BTH_Redwings toghter was a 21.06,732 👍

Nivola did a 21.05,435 with the Soby 07

i'll be joining you guys, @ Synwraith, i was in that race too and u bumped me accidently out remember ;) hehe dont worry about it though. had a nice battle with you until you lost it in the right hander before the bridge.

Looking forward to see ya all again online soon.

Chris

Hey Chris, I'm sorry about that, were you the blue Vette?

As you saw, I wasn't really in full control of the California :(

Looking at Rudi's times though, and my experience of another race it's definitely the way to go. Need to forget about the wonderful Lotus if I want to challenge all the other cars in this race. That's a shame really.

Yeh, great race Rudi
My best time 21'00.xxx with the Cali and best lap 2'04.995

This should be interesting to see what car comes out in top at this event. The moderate PP level along with unrestricted tires have me pondering different cars and tire selections. The GT-R's reign will likely be over though...thank god. Some of the tuned cars will probably come out on top, as well as the Cali and lighter AWD cars (Sti, tuned Evo). Anyway, I'll get started in a little a bit...can't wait to see what I find. 👍

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Ok starting to see the error of my ways, Subaru STi 07 - 2'06.178. That was on R2s.

That was much more competitive. Clearly a long way to go yet though :(

Sorry if i hit any of you near the esses on the first lap, i havent played for 4 months and finding it hard to get used to it again.

hey ya i was in the blue vette. ya i could see. you had a lot of oversteering, especially in the esses.
Did a 2.06.0** in the Subaru 07 so far, loving the new events!!

Think i just had the absolute best side-by-side Suzuka lap with Mr_Volcano, who is doing some incredible times in the F430 👍

I broke into the 2'05s with the 07 STi without slipstream.

This used to be THE car for me, but since 600PP on S2 I haven't driven AWD at all, and I think I actually prefer RWD now. I had much more fun driving the Lotus.

Synwraith- my first try at this event, and it was awesome! Wonder for a long time who i was chasing, until you made mistake 9. Lap i think. Great final lap:)

Yep I binned it big time at T1, then I just thought how boring it was racing alone so having seen my lead cut from 12 seconds to 5 seconds or something, why not wait?

The only reason I had that lead over you was because I started front row. The STi has the best startline performance I have ever seen, and I pulled 5 seconds on 2nd place by the hairpin, so that's the only reason the race wasn't closer.

Post that F430 tune mate, I'd much rather drive the Ferrari than the AWD.

And yes, the final lap was incredible, superb driving to you

I will be in @ XX:00. I had 3 races here earlier in my trusty F430, best lap was a 2'06.3, but I think an 2'05.9 is on the cards.

Im coming to race in a f430. Not sure how its guna do... first races are always fun

Holy crap what a serious GTP vs GTRP race, first six finishing within a second.

 mr Volcano

Yeah good stuff. 👍 I went off first corner on the first lap, and managed to come back, but I was very :nervous:

You did great to catch up man, that was a seriously intense bumper to bumper for 20 minutes race, I was so shocked to see you squeeze into the mix at the end

Just poetry, what a fantastic event.

:sly:. Yeah the Clio V6 Tuned, flys round corners . I can do consistent 2.06's in it, if I dont make mistakes. 👍

Hey guys...what seems to be the tire of choice for the Cali and other cars?

I did a respectable 2'05.612 after doing a few laps in practice using a quick tune with R1's. I just wanted to get an idea of what the fastest tire is, as changing tire compounds ideally requires the entire set-up to be changed to maximize every aspect. Thanks for any insight.

Btw, I tried the tuned Viper and it was way off pace, especially in the straights. I take back what I said about the tuned cars possibly being competitive here. The low PP just hurts the straightline performance way too much, on top of the fact that you can only get away with using S3's.

I have ran a best lap of 2'05.9 in the F430 with R1's. I think there is more to find still. :sly: 👍

Great last race with Zocker. 👍

I've done 2'05.9 in the STi 07 with R3s, and I haven't really changed any of the particulars of the setup.....because....uh...I wouldn't know where to start :)

EDIT: 2'05.758, no draft, lowered ride height into the -40s.

Sorry if I was holding you up at the beggining Synwraith! It was my first race here so it took me a while to get into the groove of things, especially with you hot on my heals putting on lots of pressure. :dunce: OMG...the level of concentration needed to keep the car on the road the entire time with 6-axis is mind numbing. Some how I managed to keep the car on the road the entire time, never falling out of the 06.7xx range. My best lap was a 2'05.322 on lap number 4 in free air. In the end I still got whomped by some GTRP member though :indiff:. I'm not worried though...it's only a matter of time and practice before I pick my pace and consistancy up though. 👍 It just takes a little bit longer with the 6-axis...
