what is a pal version?....

i know is kinda stupid but i dont know what is it

if anyone can answer that i'll be happy :)

Lamboracer
The pal version is the european version of a game. PAL gt3 is the european version of gt3. Oh yea welcome to gtp.

Not strictly true. NTSC is the North American and Far Eastern version - PAL is the rest of the world (except Antarctica - that's NTSC).

There are just television formats - an NTSC signal from your PS2 won't be read by a PAL TV and vice versa.

Bring it to australia :D

Seriously though, most NTSC TVs that support PAL (and vice versa) use it as a major marketing tool, so they're likely to have it emblazoned proudly across everything related to the TV. If you didn't notice a huge dot point on the front of the box when you bought it that said 'PAL support' or the like, then chances are it doesn't support it.

Maybe try getting a PAL video or something and see if it plays back. I remember a teacher at my old school once tried playing an NTSC video on a PAL set and the results were quite amusing. So if you play a (non-comedy) PAL vid on an NTSC set and find yourself laughing, then chances are your TV doesn't support PAL.

Ok I'm tired.

Well usually on PAL tv's that dont support NTSC the picture is either in black and white or is screwed up and out of alignment (happened on an old tv of mine).

Yes - the only permanently manned place - Scott-Amundsen base - is US territory, so NTSC.

I bet land is cheap down there, REAL fricken cheap. Think about it, frozen anarchy. I could form my own country and call it Francecanistan. Anyone is welcome to live there, but the penguins have to pay a tuxedo tax! Ill start naval battles with Argentina and Chile. Look out Austrailia, I'm about to start an ice tariff!

Antarctica is protected by a whole host of international treaties - to protect the last unspoilt natural habitat on Earth and for scientific interest (most of our meteorites we recover are from Antarctica - it's been permanently frozen for 7 million years so things get preserved nicely). The chances of buying any land in Antarctica is zero squared.

"Habitat" - doesn't this imply things live there?
Other than very unnaturally goose downy-clad humans & a few thousand penguins?
Anyone mentioning Polar Bears will be shot for very good reasons.....

Of course, I wouldn't actually live in Antarctica, no. Why? The answer is simple: I'm afraid of polar bears! :dunce:
