Of course it's a good idea. Consumer electronics have had parental controls for years, I'd be surprised if they didn't put it in there.
 
My Xbox has em too... I remember one of the first things I did when I opened the box and plugged it in was set a password so my dad couldn't :lol:

Of course it's a good idea - if you, say as a parent, can prevent your 7 year old from experiencing .... ehhrmmm ... stuff... way too early - what would be the problem ?..

(O.T.f.O.H. - If I came home from a bender and had forgotten the password I'd probably get seriously pissed at the stupid little box ;) )
 
I'm aware of controls for playing DVD's on the PS2 etc but not actual games.
I would think that it is a perfectly sound idea but to my it will be the first time someone can restrict the games a console can play. Or have I missed something?
