Patch 1.03 shuts my PS3 off

the patch 1.03 shuts my ps3 off when i try to download it.. anyone know a way to fix this? i have a "slim" ps3 the first one

I had the same issue. I deleted the game data (not the save) and let it update from 1.0 and it worked.

Try again or wait until later and try again. Could be to many people downloading it at the same time.

I downloaded the update about an hour ago with no problems also using the older slim ps3

No issue for me, I also restarted to check the server status again.

Manually downloading the update seems to be the fix I've read. Turning off the PS3 and re-trying worked for me.

I've tried 3 times all with the crash and possible corruption message.
I've let it sit for a while now, if it does it again I'll give the gamedata delete go.

It worked for me at 4th try.
I restart my system after 2nd failed attempt, now downloading and hope we'll not be affected anymore in the next updates...

as having difficulties too, but then i saw your post, and i had alredy tried 3 times so i thought, 'why not try a fourth, it worked for him!', and guess what, the fourth time it worked! thats either a coincidence or... i dont know what!

I've downloaded, as soon as I have won the new Toyota car, the system constantly crashes.

Rankings system is working either anymore. Anyone else having this issue

Yep, the downloading works after four attempts.

It's crashed on me 5 plus times now.
I tried deleting the file in the Gamedata folder with no luck, entered the game afterwards without logging into the PSN and it show V1.02.

I've now copied my game save to USB just in case and am deleting the actual GT6 install.

This better work!

EDIT: Mine is a digital download, is anyone else the same?

My new super slim crashed on the first 2 attempts, but on the Playstation site, someone had started GT6 offline then by accessing an online feature the update worked.

Tried this by trying to run a Seasonal Event after starting GT6 offline, it downloaded the update 1st attempt.
Have only tested on the NEW BMW Seasonal at Big Willow, lbut login bonus ok and now states v1.03.

Hope this is helpful.

Same to me. My system crashed 3 times, then i went offline in the game, and when I tried to get into the seasonal events I have re-connected and downloaded the patch. From here it seems to work ...

It does seams that the 4th attempted to download the update is the most successful one. Very odd as to why it requires four tries before successfully downloading. I though we were passed these kind of problems.

Wish publishers stopped pressuring the developers.

Same here. Tried updating my phat PS3 around 7:30am UK time and the thing shut down. Least Sony are getting error reports!
