I got kicked yesterday for winning. I was in a Toyota GT One limited as low as it can go and the weight as high as it can go and they were in maxed out rally cars and one was in a Ford GT, just seemed a bit harsh.

I kick idiots like you all the time. Oh I can bring in a leet race car because of no regulation and racing against 500-600pp cars.

If the room hasn't been headlined with something like "no LMP, RM, race blabla" I'd sure tried to get a killer on track, too. :sly:

I hate when the room title says "street cars only" and the host is racing with LM race car or something similar. :grumpy:

Or with the same kind of room title the host and most other are having street cars but there are a couple of stupidos having race cars but the host won't kick them or say anything to them. If you are hosting you must be able to kick people who ruin the races for every one else.

I got kicked by the room host for using the Alfa touring car too much. I used it in the first race, a Lotus Elise in the 2nd, a GT350r in the 3rd and decided to use the Alfa again for the 4th (he put the PP back the same as the first race). What annoyed me was that the other people he said he kicked had been using Clio V6's every race, even before I joined the room. Apparently he uses 'the cars people drive to judge their driving ability' (aka he got annoyed trying to overtake me, crashed into me and came off worse).

If you are a casual racer that is in it for the fun, but still interested in a competitive environment that it's well regulated (even out of control mics are curbed) then add me.

This must be a rhetorical question - you can't seriously expect a sensible answer unless you're prepared to stray into the realms of psychology.

You might just as well ask why people play video games in the first place, or even why people log on to the internet to talk about playing video games.

I wasn't going to post here, but the response to counter_z23's suggestion got me thinking.

My personal view is to pass friend requests to any hosts you can get along with and sooner or later you have a nice collection of friends you can race with.

Very true and a good reply SlyckTires, i was pi**ed off when i posted the initial question and wanted to vent, but a little bit of it was and still is a genuine question. Why do some people have to win 100% of the time and if they dont win they move the goalposts?. Surely deep down they know they are cheating theirselves?.
 
The GT5 online server is full of HONDA BOYZ, DRAG ONLY, TRADE SHOWROOM NO MIC lobbies. That's awful.
 
Just get together with your friends. Almost all the random online hosts kick the people that win.
 
Preety annoying also when they set up the regulations so that it suits them perfectly.
 
Well, for some personal perspective, I find that joining a social group (there are many on GTP) and racing in a series or with people you trust makes racing more enjoyable. That way you know you aren't going to be blocked from passing despite your flashing headlights and blaring horn, just because you know how to tune a tranny--this happened to me on SSR7 the other day in an open room, as if I'm a pitiful ai or something--and it's a tremendous challenge instead of a crash car derby.

When I go to open rooms I just assume the host is going to sound like Minny Mouse and I'm going to get blocked and rammed from behind because no one knows where their brake pedal is and views me as one of the faster cars in the historic race (don't let him pass!).

Yep. No real point complaining, though. It's easy enough to open a room and keep mature racers in.
