Payouts are low but I pledge not to buy credits. Who's with me?

I wouldn't buy credits principally. And if I would, I wouldn't buy them for the tremendous amount of money they ask for the credits. And with 40.000 Cr. I get doing a IA race, the game is doable without microtransactions.

PD drastically changed its course with the introduction of so called ''buying money''. If there's a huge demand and people continue to buy it, PD's going to think they did a good thing and give us even more DLCs like these.

In my opinion, any kind of DLCs no matter how cheap they are are kinda ruining the gaming, fans of the specified game are going to buy it because it's their favourite game, to support the developers or it'd be a good idea to have everything game related. It's a cash-cow.

Well the grinding could be fun if a car is really special. Work hard for days to get that one special car. It could work. But not if you advertise with 1200 cars in the game.... I mean. Love cars, buy GT6, don't be able to buy all the cars you love....

Microtransactions are the most terrible invention this modern age of gaming since launch-day DLC.

So the payouts from races are fairly low and, unlike GT5, they are no higher in the seasonal events. Sony have claimed that micro-transactions in the form of credit purchasing isn't "required' for GT6, yet the low payouts contradict this. I, for one, am voting with my wallet and pledge not to play their game and purchase the credits. Let's send a message! Who's pledging with me? We don't want the GT franchise to turn into Forza 5.

I would never buy in-game credits with real money. **** that!

Because you had to work for it. Same as doing saving up to afford something in real life gives it a sense of specialness and achievement.

I agree that the payouts probably are a little too stingy in the later races, but increasing them too much just brings you to the GT5, 20 million in an hour and a half gameplay.

Fair enough, except that your work is just your preference of how you want to play the game. I'd bet the vast majority of people are like me and just want to race the cars. That's where I get my sense of achievement is by getting better and faster on the track. Unfortunately for me, as a fan of faster race cars, many of the cars I'd like to do this in I probably won't ever be able to because I'll become so sick of grinding for credits I'll just give up on the game and move on to something else.

Honestly, the payouts seem to be on-par with the older entries in the series. The seasonals were nice, but they kind of trivialized the act of buying a car. I mean by the end of GT5 I was spending almost a million dollars on cars I got just to send to friends. I like the feeling of buying a really expensive race car right now, it feels like i worked for it. I'm looking forward to really considering my purchases instead of blindly buying every single thing. I was sitting on over 900 cars in GT5.

Credits don't seem any worse than say, gt4. Gt5 was just super generous.

I like how is right now. With the constant stream of events I think things will be fine

I absolutely won't buy credits. I like driving to complete my garage, buying a new car every now and then. Keeps the game fresh for me as there are always cars I haven't driven/focused on.

Just achieved the National A, and have more money than I need right now - 250,000 in the bank and 32 cars to play with. I still have to take the Merc AMG and the KTM for a spin. I'm too busy exploring the Moon and staring at my time of 1.04.88 in the Alpine at Goodwood to notice my extreme poverty. Should I clip that .088 off? :D

I think . . . they just might have fixed the credit system . . . for those of us who want to play the game.

i agree, dont buy them. people kicked up a mad stink about FM5's micro transactions, and they werent selling well. After that they actually reduced prices for a lot of the cars, and patched the payouts in game to be more reasonable.

The only thing I would buy credits for is the Senna racing suit and helmet.
But I am holding out for hopefully getting it through Senna-themed DLC.

15th anniversary USA GS ed. with 25 cars was worth its weight in credits.
Only car I had to buy to get though the events to unlock Super level was a Honda Fit.

Seems to me GT6 is all about racing to make money, I like it! :dopey:

PD did reduce the prices for a lot of the most expensive cars... GT F1, Chapparel 2D and 2J, Minolta and 787B... same for the super classics like the Ford Mark IV 20,000,000.00 Alfa Romeo 10,000,000.00, but those really are rare... actually raised the prices on some like Mugen Motel Civic...

However with the payouts VS cost to do chassis or engine repair on the best cars at 500,000.00??? Ridiculous!!! Makes it cost prohibitive to even get some of those cars even if you can afford it after a few hard fought races...

So here is a warning, if you find a way to make some decent credits in the game, PLEASE DON'T POST it :) Else PD may change it to avoid losing money on those who will buy them. With that said it will be interesting to see if they ever increase payouts like they did with GT5, I could see Kaz and Sony dueling it out over that decision, maybe they already did and Kaz lost....

My guess is that Sony can dictate quite a lot. They basically own PD and can do things like increase funding if they include this or this.

I haven't had a problem with payouts yet ?i made 200k in an hour or so then sold a 300k prize car..nothing wrong with that

I really don't understand the complaints about prize money.
Do you guys just want to buy every car straight away?

I am only 36 races into career and have already earned close to a million. This is supposed to represent a career of sorts, It's obvious you wont be getting 500k+

Don't feed the scam. Don't do it. First it will be an option to get in-game money, then they will make it the only way to get money. Who knows what will happen next. Nothing is really stopping them from charging for the most stupid things. The only thing that stops them (for now) is that there are still people who oppose these marketing strategies.

I'm sure PD has enough money to develop the game further.
this isn't a mobile game, don't give us the option to buy credits like it is one.

Well, after racing enough to accumulate 1.6 million credits I bought a mill.. I play Forza as well as Turismo, and with
Microsoft a person pays $60.00 for half the game at the store and pays at least that much online too. This is a nice change, and I
feel as though I am supporting the cause. So I feel I lost no honor. They give us free online service, well priced DLC
packages and promise more content. The 2 updates have had in 1 week have already added around 30 prize cars.
