PC gran turismo equivelant

I'm a big fan of Gran Turismo and am searching for something similar to play on the PC. Does anyone have a recommendations for something like the GT series on the PC?

There isn't anything like Gran Turismo for the PC. There are some very good alternatives though. Grand Prix Legends/2004 and TOCA Race Driver 2 come to mind. TOCA Race Driver 2 is a very good racing game, but it's no where near as deep as GT. I beat nearly 90% of the career mode in 3-4 days. The really cool thing about this game though is that it offers so many different types of racing. It has great AI and you can play it online. 👍

I don't know much about Grand Prix Legends because I only have the demo. I can tell you that it's about the 1967 Grand Prix season though.

Although this game doesn't have road cars, it had the physics and that down.

GTR. Its pretty much an FIA GT Sim game, but is great fun with the DFP. Plus, there can be 50 more cars on the track than in GT.

That's right...56 cars, all at once. I recommend it you try it out though. Getting used to it is a bit challenging, since alot of the cars, like the Storm, love to take off, and take some getting used to.

I knew I was forgetting at least one game! GTR is a great game! I loved the demo when I had it.

I wish I had a wheel. I really want to play TOCA 2 and GTR. I played the demo for both and I loved them, but theyre were wickedly impossible with the directional keys. It's not like NFSU. Precise steering is REQUIRED. Do not get these games unless you have a wheel. Force feedback preferred.

Actually, I do have an old wheel, but I lost the AC adaptor and I don't have a game port on my PC...

It is worth every penny Event. I love how the Ferrari 575M GTC fights you as you take around the corners of Spa. 👍

There is no direct equivalent to GT for the PC, but by installing several games you can have GT on your PC:
F1 Challenge 99-02 then you'll have F1 cars
+ the following mods for it:
Prototype-C
JGTC
ETCC ( european touring cars championship ) for the BMWs
DTM championship ( Opel, Mercedes )
+ a good rally game: RBR or CMR

1 game that looks like GT to me is Live For Speed: various cars ( unbranded ) and good tracks.

Bit dated now but NFS Porsche Unleashed/2000 or whatever it was called is similar to GTs career mode but its getting on a bit now. Oh & of course all drivable cars in the game are Porsches... But the career mode is cool & better than GTs in many ways, but the driving isn't.
