CRAP pCARS presents the first in a series of time trials. Leaderboard will be kept in post 2. Open to ALL formats whether PC, PS4 or XB1.

BMW 320 Turbo Group 5 @ Imola

Time trial will be kept open. This will be reviewed should car physics change. Update your validated time as often as you like.

Tuning

Apparently if you save a tuning setup for the car at Imola it gets used in the time trail mode.

All competing CRAP pCARS members' times will be used within our own club. However this is open to ALL GTPLANET members.

Instructions

-Select "Time Trial" from main menu
-Track: Imola
-Class: GT
-Car: BMW 320 Turbo Group 5
-Drive superfast lap(s)
-Press pause
-Take photo of paused screen (see example below - share, upload and link in Facebook, Twitter, Flickr etc.
-Post link to pic in this thread along with the following info.
Lap-time (m:ss.nnn), GTP name, System (PS4/XB1/PC), PSN/XB1/Steam ID, Wheel or DS4

Haven't got to this car and track yet. Now I have a reason! :cheers:

EDIT: Got some practice in last night and best lap was 1:51:1xx. I haven't got all the braking zones right yet; I know I'm leaving time out on the track. Thanks to initial entries, I now have sub 1:50 target. :) Looking forward to see laptimes from CRAP aliens.

Great combo! I gave this a go earlier but got disconnected from the server which kicked me out of Time Trial mode before I could get a screenshot, looks like I still have plenty to gain though once I tame the turbo.

I love how you can just stomp on the power half way round a corner and the turbo will only catch up once you're leaving the corner, it takes a very different driving style to most other cars.
 
I think there's maybe another 0.5 left out there for me with the default setup unless I can figure out how to tame it in the slower corners, I'll be pleased if I can reduce this time any further though.

Can I ask if anyone has done testing to see if tunes saved for a particular car and track get used in time trial mode? Not an issue if they are, it would just be good to know.

I read somewhere if you tune a car on a specific track, the tune then carries over if you use the same car and track in timetrial.

Now that i know that setups cary over to TTs, i was able to knockoff almost 1 second. There is another 0.5-1second that i can get off. Need to be more calm. I should maybe remove the timer from my HUD.

If anyone that uses the DS4 would like the Tune, i will try to post it up for you soon.
