Plus I always see race cars with gt5 logos on them which makes me wonder if those might be remodeled for gt5 or even gt6
Im not trying to set the expectations too high but just a thought went through when I remember before 2.0 how quite gt was
It was in an interview. There's a video of it on youtube.If my memory serves me right, I think Kaz mentioned on one of his tweets that they have a lot of materials for GT5. I think that was two months ago.
I don't see a problem if they don't want to say anything. Patience isn't even needed.Yeah I mean PD always keeps things on the downlow which keeps giving me thoughts of what they have lined up for gt6 or dlc for gt5
I would hope they are holding stuff back. GT5 doesn't need any more huge updates. They should concentrate on putting all that extra stuff into GT6. Where's the fun in playing GT6 knowing it's exactly the same as the last GT5 update?
What's the fun in waiting for GT6 when you can still get a lot out of GT5? I can't understand how so many people are already speculating about GT6 and sort of hinting towards PD to just stop updating and release GT6 earlier, seriously I feel like I just got the game, there's still a lot of months left in it to play. There are still tracks I've never raced on let alone cars I haven't touched.

If there are still tracks you've never raced on you probably have just got the game.

I don't think we'll see GT6 on this generation of PS. The current system is maxed out. They'll throw us a few bones along the way to keep the revenue flowing.
That's true, but the things that those two developers have to take into account are very different.I seriously don't think the PS3 is anywhere near being "maxed out".
Developers just haven't unlocked its full potencial because:
- when designing a multi-platform game, developers use the X-Box 360 as the lowest common denominator, since it's technically inferior and easier to program for. So the PS3 gets held back on multi-platform games;
- regarding PS3 exclusives, I don't think developers have fully mastered designing for the PS3 yet, because of it being harder or just plain different. No doubt PD and, for example, Naughty Dog, have taken hardware use to a whole new level, but I still think there's plenty of uncharted territory to discover. (pun intended)
That being said, though, I still think PD will choose to prolong GT5's life through DLC, rather than develop a new game for the PS3.
I suspect there's just so much content they want to put in GT6 that they won't have the time to do it in the PS3's lifespan.![]()

What leads you to believe it isn't maxed out or close to it?
Not saying I know, I'm not a developer but we are starting to see a plateau in games. U3 was not a leap over U2, especially not like U2 was over Drakes Fortune. In some ways GT5 performs worse than Prologue did. This console life cycle feels like it's gone on forever and to me it feels like we need something fresh and new.
