Mods: I understand there are several threads being started surrounding ideas to campaign PD/SONY at the moment. The idea of a Twitter campaign was mentioned and I didn't see a specific thread for it, sans this one. If this is not a good idea or misplaced please delete it for me.

A lot of talk is starting to circulate on the boards here in regards to attempt to gain higher visibility in regards to our concerns as a community related to GT6.

One of the best ideas I've seen is the mention of starting a Twitter campaign (sorry don't remember who's idea it was that I saw).

For this to work I think there would need to be some strict ground rules and guidelines put in place that people would agree to adhere to. Sending Kaz tweets of "Gimme a livery editor or im done with GT #mad" isn't going to help at all.

Here are a few things I think we can all agree on:

1. Messages need to be simple and courteous.
2. A centralized hashtag list should probably be created (I'll try to update this post)
3. Many different users should join the effort to send messages rather than a small handful
4. Messages should be in a priority list surrounding bugs and advertised features not wishlists
5. Other games should NOT be used as reference in tweets
6. Links to rant threads should not be sent

Since this would be a community initiative I think there should be some input and consensus here to decide on a format and path forward.

Hopefully there will be enough genuine support for this to have even a small success in reaching out to PD/SONY for a bit of communication. If not I suppose this thread will either be deletes or simply die on the vine from lack of response.

Lets band together and make our voices a little bit louder... this time in the form of noises from the cellphone in Kazs' pocket.

#granturismo6 looks to be the most popular hastag right now for this.

A list of bugs is located here https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/things-in-gt6-you-want-fixed-please-read-bold-first.291914/

Primarily tweets will be directed to:

@Kaz_Yamauchi - Kazunori Yamauchi (President Polyphony Digital) Aslo listed as board member Representative Director on PDs website.

@andrewhouse_ps - Andrew House (President and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment.) Also listed as board member director on PDs website. A response from Shuhei Yoshida has indicated that this handle is a fake and Andrew House does not have a twitter account.

@yosp - Shuhei Yoshida (President of Worldwide Studios, Sony Computer Entertainment.) Also listed as board member director on PDs website.

More will be added as they are discovered or requested.

Remember PLEASE BE COURTEOUS in your messages.

There is always of course this https://www.change.org/petitions/polyphony-digital-communication-regarding-gt6-content as well. It can't hurt to sign it if you haven't already. It is very well worded and the exact sort of message I think needs to be sent to PD.

This was a short exchange with Shuhei Yoshida earlier this evening...

I like the idea, but I deleted my Twitter account last May. This is, IMO, more unique than what I've seen lately. Good luck with this.

The beauty of twitter is the ability to create another account ;)

Seriously though I dont use twitter much at all as I dont have much to say there.

However, I do now.

Well, I would support it but in all honesty, I don't want to annoy my friends with this nonsense which quite frankly - is a lot less important than all of us are making it out to be.

At the end of the day, it's really just a game. I agree, it as more flaws than an obese ballerina, but rather than getting carried away with it I just stop playing for weeks on end to keep myself interested when I play again.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great idea.. however the more effective way to do it is to make a youtube video with @[inserttwitterhandlehere] in the title, and for every like it receives, that twitter account would be notified. That's how they get major changes in games like Call of Duty

If you want to do a video-awareness campaign, I would be very willing to help with that. I could make a call to a buddy with 12,000 subs and we could set something up that would more than likely do some work.

Yes, but it just doesn't "suit my style" :D

Good point about a twitter handle in a YT vid. There is a thread started for that very idea here https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...-through-a-video-message.305083/#post-9449279

I'd beg you to pop in over there if you are willing to help.

And I know it's just a game but I know most of us just want even a tiny shred of communication from them.

It may be "just a game," but do you spend more time with GT6 or that 1 friend from 2 years ago that you never talk to anymore, but follow anyways? :sly:

#concernedaboutGT6 is too long imo, i think something along the lines of these hashtags would be better, #GT6Sucks, #PDsuck, #LynchKaz! #GT6smash&grab$$

I can come up with more if you like

Who do we send the tweets to? I just logged onto twitter for the first time in over a year, lets do this!

Well I think we should formalize this a little bit before we start firing... does everyone agree?

I'm just hoping to try to provide a productive direction rather than having 1,000s of rabid angry tweets going out that only get ignored.

However, the primary recipient of these tweets will be @Kaz_Yamauchi

Please PLEASE exercise restraint and exhibit some politeness with these messages people. We want to use honey to lure the bear here, not scare it off with a shotgun.

Oh alright, no problem.

I personally like #concernedaboutgt6 by the way. But maybe...#concerned4gt6 would be better? Just because it's shorter really.

.

Totally agree with this. Some people are just getting too carried away. It seems to have become a contest to see who can complain the loudest, as opposed to constructive criticism.

Using GTP to organise such campaigns has the potential to damage the relationship between GTP/Jordan and PD/Kaz - especially when you include GTP links in the tweets.

Not if it's done correctly. As long as people can act like adults and be respectful than I don't see how simply asking for more communication would hurt the relationship. If people act like they do on here though, we're doomed.

I'm sorry to say this, but all these different ideas being posted on the forum on how to get in contact with PD and perhaps make them listen won't Work. PD clearly have very different ideas on what is considered problems and priorities. And even when you do get them to aknowledge problems, they don't do anything about them. Sounds and the multiple duplicates in the game are good examples of that.

Until you get rid of all the incompetent idiots (just about the most accurate description) working at PD, you won't change a thing. They have their way of making games, I.E. the wrong one, and you won't change that by messaging them on Twitter.

They've mentioned that They do pay attention to the GTP forum, and that alone should show you just how Little they care to fix the problems.

One thing definitely needs to be asked: are they aware of incorrect top speeds? Or should i say acceleration and top speeds. I mean 30-40mph faster than in real life should be called as a serious bug.

I am sure PD already knows everything we'll tell them. And I agree chances for them to suddenly change and listen are thin...BUT

Ranting on a fan forum (that 99,999999% of people don't even know) is one thing.
Ranting in a public space, with an efficient hashtag, being criticized in front of all the industry (if we do it well),... might give them a kick in the bum.

Worth a try as ranting here, even making wonderful tools like surveys and polls that tell very accurately what's wrong with GT...that failed.

To finish, I want to say that they need to hear that many fans are angry: not only disappointed or bored. Angry.

I found out more than once that anger can be a powerfull lever in business relations.

In a nutshell: worth a try.

BTW: i don't think we should try to say all the problems in GT through twitter. Just tell them that their priorities are all over the place. Maybe links to good videos/threads from GTplanet. Just repeat this moto: we want GT to change.

Just my opinion though.

When people can't even agree to a #standardized, it's going to fail of course.
But I don't even twitter, so what do I know...

Way to much complaining, wining and moaning. More respect for PD please. They won't listen to those winers that tweets 'What's up with the tirebug PD' or Give us better sounds please.

It won't reach anything like this way ! Not because I started the other thread about videomessaging, but about respect. Didn't see a word of it.
