No it doesn't make A-Spec perfect but it's a step in the right direction. One thing that racers love is stats, and now it gives us a real challenge/reward to find the lowest PP car/highest reward combination. It creates bragging rights which racers like of course. In order to really become racing, the AI's need to be dramatically improved but this is definitely a step in that direction. It's progress.

Step 1: Get a Prius TC.
Step 2: Do NOT change the oil.
Step 3: Put power limiter to 50%. (70% for daytona)
Step 4: Put Ballast to 200,-9
Step 5: Put downforce to minimum
Step 6: Get the right tires
Step 7: ???
Step 8: Profit!

PDA Will give you about 3 or 4x more and you'll destroy the AI in every race with a 365 to 370 PP car (400 in Daytona.)

The bolded one got me
Anyhow, I like the new point system. I just tried it briefly last night. It's definatly better than the preaviously SE.
One question though, as I didn't try to test it yesteday. Does tire choice below SH have any effect on the payout.
Thanks in advance.

It doesn't seem to; using CS tyres paid out the same as SH did for me on the same car. It's purely based on PP, which doesn't take tyres into account.

Thanks. It's a little bit of a shame that tires don't come into account. But it's a step forward though.

Quite a shame, as limiting handling is a far better way to create a close race than limiting straight-line speed. I'm fine with tires not affecting PP as that can complicate things, but for this it really seems there should be a tire grade multiplier. Oh well, nothing's perfect and this is still a welcome change.

I think keyword is Performance, lose points for Ramming and Corner cutting (NOT currently penalised in OLASPEC), as well as rewards for clean passes , car PP and split time.

Me thinks/hopes.

LINE BREAKING NEWS

New PDA seasonal is online, a 5 race event featuring 430pp FF cars on SH, 1st place 150k average.
"400pp will net you roughly 2x prize money"

Finally! We are rewarded for our skill!
1st race 7 laps at Tsukuba, im in a 98 DC2 on CM ABS+TCS=0 405pp.
Im first by end of 6th lap, AI is nothing like Arcade w 10aggression, but starting last of 12 makes up for it.
No rabbits!! In the end i rake in 250k x2 for daily bonus 500k to have a blast with my DC2 and evenly matched cars, very satisfactory.

All i can say is where have these been all this time?? I Know i can make a Mill for 6 minutes @ the ring, but this PDA is just so much more fun and internally rewarding.

PS, gold them all for an RM DC5 coupon!

THIS ,PD! THIS!

Would you mind sharing how you make money at the ring? I'm relatively broke and would like to buy the Ferrari 330 P4 Race Car '67.

A-Spec, 650PP Nordschleife , 1Lap against variety of SuperGT\LMGT, some Rabbits are the McLaren F1 BMW and the Zonda Race Car, so long as these are 2nd in the grid, you should be able to win it easily.

I use a Tuned 649pp R35TC with RS(saves time when grinding).

Takes about 6:30s per lap, if F1BMW or ZondaRC or FORD GT-LMII are in the first position, exit and cycle until they are in 2nd. They are rabbit cars.

With 200% bonus you'll be cashing 1M for 1 Lap\6Mins, or 10M per hour.

There might be higher paying B-Spec races, but they take much longer and require a 30+ Bob.

So i found this to be the quickest (and still fun) way to make money.

The Prius at Cape Ring can get you up to 2,3 mill cr. per 10 min 30 sec.
Check the 430 pp FF thread in the Seasonal section for tips and tunes.
