People Taking GT5 to Seriously!

Your somewhat right and also somewhat wrong. You can ask for help tuning, but you should never be given a whole tune IMO. Where is the fairness if someone spend 40+ hours tuning a car to have a selfish n00b steal it and win races with it. I am a lone tuner so I know the amount of frustration that goes into making good tunes and no way I would give them away to some random guy who says all he wants is to "Have fun".


P.S. If you bought a sim game, you should take it somewhat seriously...

I completly understand what this kid is saying. He has asked for a tune and poeple would rather be dicks then help I mean it sounds childish but if u don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. In my experience reading the tune forum it seems to me that people would rather take the time out of the day to say go 🤬 yourself and learn it on ur own. Then to help someone by giving a tune on a forum that was most likely designed to help people with the game. I mean what would a tuning forum be about if noone helped? Well it would be a bunch of little kids saying my cars the fastest. Come one people if someone has a question about how to tune a car let's help them at least point them in the right direction to get started. Not just say it's a secret learn it on ur own.

Maybe people get tired of seeing 10 new threads a day asking for what's already right in front of everyone's face.
And then there's this I already linked.

t's not enough to have everything at people's fingertips, they want to make a new thread and have it handed to them on a silver platter.

If you're looking for drag or NASCAR tunes, there's not much involved, and it's the only advantage people can get in something so simple to drive (ovals and straight line races) so people don't share everything, and you have to find that out for yourself if you want it, it's not hard, I did it in 2 hours.

This kid as been bugging me for my setup. first on PSN then on here through pm so I'm betting he made this thread with me in mind. I told him I would help him but Im not just going to hand over my whole setup to him. That wasn't good enough for him so he has to start a pointless thread. I put many, many hours into my NASCAR tunes without any help so he can do the same. Furthermore, I NEVER said my tunes are the best nor did I EVER say that Im the best nor do I think that way. That is just the OP putting words in my mouth because he is mad that I won't give him my setup. Also, maybe I do take this game alittle seriously, but thats because online racing is my hobby. Not so much this game, but IRACING which I have been doing since its inception so maybe thats where my serious side comes from. But anways, just thought I'd clear things up as I see he now seems to have a problem with me. To sum it up one more time so we're clear, I'M NOT GREAT NOR DO I CLAIM TO BE. MY TUNES ARN'T THE BEST NOR DO I CLAIM THEY ARE. I WILL HELP WITH A TUNE, BUT I'M NOT GIVING OUT MINE. Thanks and happy racing everyone.

No, I did say I would help you but thats not what you wanted to hear. You wanted my whole setup and when I wouldn't give it to you, you copped an attitude and deleted me. Tell it how it really happened. Your not going to make me out to be the bad guy here when I was perfectly willing to help you. And there is no need to start with the name calling. Your acting really childish now and you need to stop.

What is drag racing in GT5 with the same car, same tune?
What is Oval racing in GT5, with the same car and tune?

Both require much less skill then road racing in the game. (don't bother bringing real life up I'm aware)
The only real advantage to be gained is through tuning, which many people spend countless hours perfecting.
If you'd like to keep up with them, you have two options, as follows.
Option one, you search for tunes around the net and get something not really good enough, but better than you have. Then you continue "needing new tunes" every time you switch cars or tracks.
Option two, you learn how the functions work, learn how to make your own tunes, run with the faster guys, gain a sense of accomplishment and self-satisfaction, and never have to worry about searching for a new tune on every track and car combo.
BTW - When you learn how to tune, nobody can make a tune better fit for you then you.

And this is why you're not getting any help.
You want everything handed to you on a silver platter, if you're a kid, you should have plenty of time, us married and/or engaged type folk can do it, you sure as hell have the spare time.
