I anticipate your lack of creativity.

Actually, I think it's more creative to search your chip list for the proper color that to paint your car LOL GOLD CHROME. Brightly colored wheels are a bit cliche at this point too, I usually paint mine black or leave them the original color.

A person's choices is what makes that person unique. Be that with car selection, car modification, taste in women (or men) or even sport team. If you want to go saying things like...
1. Do not waste matte and chrome on standard cars.
2. Don't paint cars silver chrome or gold if you actually think it looks cool.
3. In fact only use silver chrome on rims. Never gold.
4. Matte looks best on really sleek cars, with smooth lines.
5. Metallic paint can looks really good on some standards. Nothing too jaggy though.
6. Make sure you rims look good from ever possible angle and rotation, And they don't overpower the cars paint.
7. Don't add huge front overhangs to premiums, unless you can also put in a side skirt and rear diffusers(Rarely).
8. When in doubt try solid textures.

Then you must be either extremely selfish, think the world revolves around you or have never heard that everyone has their own taste. No one is right & no one is wrong.

I personally like tasteful colour schemes also, but i dont think i "wasted" my Silver Chrome on my standard GS300 Lexus. It's the most subtle i have seen a chrome car and feel that it really suits the cars luxury style. I will admit however, that i have a maziora green flip on my F430 Scud. But that's the way i like it!

O,o and the spoiler/wing options in GT5 are different from car to car. I like some, i dislike others, but i know they all allow a user to add downforce to their car regardless of what they look like, so i have no problem seeing a funny looking spoiler in an online race.

Why do people put spoilers on cars that just don't need them? "Yeah dude, that rear wing will really help that massive overseer on 4WDs" :indiff:. I don't even like adding wings to high power MR cars unless I can get some front downforce to. Otherwise it just ruins the balance of the car. And on paint, Here are some guidelines.

7. Don't add huge front overhangs to premiums, unless you can also put in a side skirt and rear diffusers(Rarely).

u think you are god or something? if you dont think you are god then dont try to tell people what to do:dunce:

for the op:
how old are you? 13, 14...? How many cars did you bought irl? None... How many cars did you dad gonna buy for you, probably 2 or 3 Volvo wagons or saab sedans from the 80 or 90. And probably you will never get in race track, with a proper car. So you went miserable, wishing a nice ride, even for a spin, or a wash in front of our house.
So you start to rise money, and you can buy what, a nice subaru impreza sti, metalic blue, stravagant wings, stupid spoilers gold chrome wheels, caramel interior and its the best ride in our life. Your contrdict yourself, but you have the greatest time of your life.
Long story sort, get a life dude. Grown up and get a life.
ps: moderators, close that thread please...

I couldn't agree more 👍 👍

OP, the verdict is in. You are the 2 yr old, in the grocery store, crying because mommy won't let you have your way. She needs to return you to your crib, change your diaper, and leave you to nap. Please don't start another thread, until you do some growing up.

Mods, as mentioned, please close this worthless thread.

yes? / no?

yes? / no?

Don't you get it? It's your car. YOU decide! If you rely on others, SOMEONE will tell you they hate it. In this scenario, all cars will either be transparent, or decided by committee. Are we so desperate for others' approval that we allow others to decide something as individual as the color of our cars? They aren't even real, They are simulated.

Which is why I am glad that odds are you are not a graphic designer, painter, or artist of any kind that would leave a mark on my daily life in print or electronic form
In matter of fact, i like home interior design as well. My room has orange walls, with pink flowers, and justin biebers name written in baby blue color. 💡

God I wish PD had included a Forza style livery editor so that people could do even crazier paint jobs...

who is anyone on an internet forum to tell another user how to paint their car? that is the best thing about life...being able to express yourself and your style how you please. Who cares what color paint they use, or what car they put it on...if they like it then more power to them!

Just to please the OP I decided to put passionate pink wheels on my matte pink RS6 Avant. Beautiful and classy. ;)

All my cars are... WERE painted in black... Too bad my PS3 YLODed on me... Now I´ll have to start GT5 all over and buy alot of black cars to get the paint chips when I get my new PS3 slim...

i had that happen.. except i backed up my stuff.. so when the PS3 got replaced.. i just uploaded the old save onto the new Slim and went right back into it.. im unfortunately quite out of touch with my LMP race cars however

To the OP people have different tastes if we all thought the same the world would be very boring indeed and all cars ever made would look the same, That said im more than happy with my Canary Yellow Lancia Delta With Black wheels and a large black wing on the back and funny that as ive had many compliments online at how good it looks

I painted my Evo V GSR '98 Silver Chrome and people online don't stop ranting about it. I think it's up to you to choose how to paint/modify your car.

Well apperently a spolier adds 30bhp and chrome paint adds another 90bhp :)

This is probs the OP is telling us how to customise our cars so that he has the power advantage...

/sarcasm

Oh, and one more thing, don't EVER paint your Mustang Cobra R lime green. It just looks wrong, and that car was meant to be red.

I got into a fight with someone in a demolition derby lobby tonight because of that. Yes, I probably overreacted, but a green Cobra R is just wrong.

If you're going to repaint it, at least don't use Lamborghini VERDE PUKE.

Hmmm... reminds me... I have several SVT Cobras set aside for dressing up... and I have a Grabber Lime chip here somewhere...

It's something most car guys don't get, but which bikers do... color just plain rocks.

The Cobra-R looks good in its stock Red color but also looks good in Black (matte too), Blue metallic, and a good solid shade of Yellow either pearl/metallic because just flat yellow looks really cheap. Orange is acceptable but has to be pearl or a really glossy orange.

I have two Cobra-Rs, one stock red and the other is "Orange" but is actually yellow (glitch? idk lol).

this sort of thing goes wayyyyy back, before GT5!

Take:

Run them over with a VW Polo

and you get

And believe me, they really are hideous! My mum had one for about 5 years!

There is nothing worse though than gold chrome, silver chrome, pink, or brown on ANY car/set of wheels, it's just plain wrong!

OP, I salute you sir!!
