perfect pedal brake mod for g27 ... has anybody taken their perfect pedal apart for an overhaul?
i did a superficial search here, but didn't find anything about the guts of these.
could have been a great unit, seemed like it was well made, but worked well for less than six weeks.
it leaked a lot of oil onto the floor below it, and it makes a farting noise with every actuation.
braking performance is inconsistent, as i assume the force coming against the load cell for given pedal pressure, is variable now.
this was an incredibly expensive unit, and the folks at Perfect Pedal have been worse than useless, stringing me along, and then ignoring me, for more than two months, now.
in every communication with them, i have been polite and overly patient.
their last communication to me was essentially, 'we're not ignoring you, it's just not our primary business and we have been too busy with other stuff than to bother simply initiating a warranty process ... but rest assured, we are not ignoring you."
that was a couple weeks ago.
i have written them off as far as any help or support with their product. unbelievable that people can charge this much money for something, and then just blow you off if you have any problems.
just beware, ... if you buy one and have issues, you are out on your own.
at this point, it is up to me to take this really expensive paperweight apart, and try to repair it mice elf,
so if anyone has some insight or precautions or servicing this pile, i'd appreciate it.
also type of oil to use for reassembly.
thanx
