Performance mode or quality mode?

Hello,
i recently moved to PS5 from PS4 and i am already stunned how the game looks, but i am wondering how big is the difference between quality and performance mode? I am playing so far on performance, because i love 120 FPS fluidity on 4K TV with VRR. How do you play? Does quality brings many details more? And much lowered framrate?

I almost always use performance mode because higher framerate just feels better to me and the quality trade off is something I dont mind (if I notice it at all depending on the game).
I do try quality mode, but I dont think there is any game I didnt change it to performance mode.
I dont use PSSR, this loss of quality isnt worth it in my opinion.

Performance mode.....

I used to play on the Original PlayStation One.
Original Quality is a feature, I don't care for it, right now things are way better than what it was 20 years ago, and I am completely satisfied....

But performance, we can never get enough of that....

Performance mode. IMO the framerate will lend itself more to realism than the quality of the images.
