Performance Points Glitch?

I've been doing online races that are PP limited. Naturally, before a race, I go to the garage and select a car whose performance points are below the limit. But once i select the car, the performance points arbitrarily jump up by 30 or so and I can no longer enter the car in the race! When I go back to the garage to check the car's PP, sure enough it shows up as 30 higher than it just was, even though I haven't made any changes to the car!

This seems to happen mostly in races with low PP limits and tire restrictions. Has anyone else run into this problem?

Maybe you just haven't gotten into the car before the tyres stopped affecting the PP. Besides which you could just use the power limiter or ballast...

Yes OMG I hate that. I see a car and am all excited than I can't use it even tho it said I could. U have to get into the car at some point before, but if ur like me with around 800 cars that will take way to long lol. There's nothing u can do really unless they change it which they should.

I didn't realize that changes had been made to the PP system. This makes sense, though. Thanks for the explanation!

Tires don't change the pp! I don't have any idea why the pp on your car would seem to change going from the garage screen to the tune screen, though.

Tyres used to effect the PP, if he hasn'y used the car since the patch changed that the PP will not have updated.

If you just go into the settings-menu in the garage (no need to change anything) the PP automatically gets updated without the need to drive them first, that way you're not going to be surprised when taking a car online.
