perhaps GT6 is falling behind.

I'm not the only one here having a hard time accepting other opinions, you only have to read the thread again.
You know, I understand that you may like playing offline, what I dont get is why you wont play online aswell.
GT5/6 have a lot of focus to the online part and thats why they have less offline stuff than GT4. If GT5/6 had no online, for sure that the offline mode would be larger and better, but it's not the case.

Why don't I play online? Well I know this is a concept you struggle with, so I'll put it in big letters for you.

Not everyone enjoys the same thing in a game.

I just don't enjoy online gaming. It's a simple as that. To say GT5/6 has a focus on online is frankly laughable. Need I remind you GT5 v1.00 didn't even contain ANY online features and when 1.01 added it they were far from the focus. They're still not the focus of GT6, given that there is just one simple option to play online, one simple lobby system. That is not an online focus, but we've been through this before.

We've already discovered why you think GT6 online is satisfactory and up to date, you admitted in another thread you hadn't played any other modern racing game online.

All in due time my young padawan, that phrase doesn't apply in customer service PD is starting to sound like politicians, we all bought an unfinished product at full price, it's like buying a sports car and then waiting for the speed handling to come at a later date, what will I say when the course maker gets here, IT'S ABOUT TIME!

You knew about the updates when you bought the game correct? You were also aware of PDs history as far as updates go correct? You are correct, we bought an unfinished product at full price. Knowingly.

And I ask... WHY? You simply say you dont enjoy it but I fail to see why.

You for example, I dont know if you play sports games like football or tennis or basketball, have you ever tried to play it with your friends? Isnt it better than playing against the AI?

You have got to be kidding me.

Why does anyone prefer anything? Why do I like Pepsi over Coke? Basketball over Football. Hard rock over rap.

Why do you prefer online over AI?

Seriously man, there's other people out there and they all don't share your interests. You're making it a lot more complicated than it really is.

Why would anyone bother explaining to you when you're just going to tell them they're wrong?
Lol i wont.

Because real online players have real intelligente as opposed to AI which has no intelligence at all. They're far better opponents to play with. And you can chat with them too.
I would always be able to explain why I prefer football to basketball or hard rock over rap. I was just honestly asking why he prefers offline to online, I dont think its that hard to explain.

I can't speak for him, but offline not being as stressful seems like a good one. For every mature racer you meet online, he's equaled by a twerted meathead that will do any and everything to make your experience a living nightmare.

Sometimes real people are more annoying than bots, and sometimes it's just more trouble than it's worth.

Regardless a game should not be incomplete. There is already alot wrong with the game before promised features are not delivered.

Racing games were always my favorite because alot of them had a low barrier to entry and content to keep us playing. Now they just tease us like the rest of gaming genre's.

I love online starting a room as i like and label it "only practice"
Many actually join and practice and tune cars. Driving on Nurb like that with all kinds of different cars is most real feel i get.
Still never seen anyone drive a Prius though :)
Like playing offline but online and enjoy it most like that.

You're right it isn't that hard to explain why one likes something...to an audience with an open mind. You've not demonstrated very well in this thread that you have the ability to see someone else's point of view, hence the reluctance.

I don't know who you are
But I will find and I will drive a Prius.

So you can say, hand on heart, that you have not received one single promised feature from PD?

That was not the advertised content.. one piece of dlc..

If you're happy and not dissapointed thats cool.. but the game some months after release is still not as advertised.
Still no senna, course maker, community..
add to that the mental economy and transactions and sadly gt6 is just not worth the hassle anymore..
it seems to me they've painted themselves into a corner by releasing too early and not solving some obvious and long standing issues..

Please refer to this:
Also, an interesting little note i've dug up...

“We don’t have a definite order yet of things, but, you know, January, February, March, April, May, etc., we have updates planned for each of those months, and there are actually more things too which we still can’t mention! [Laughs.]

“We do already have a big update coming in December, and in January there will probably be two big updates. And that’s because there’s a lot of things, such as the unveiling of new cars, which we have no control over.”

Note how he never confirms any dates or timescales for DLC and features in updates. He promised they'd come, but never when (excluding the RB event, but that was probably down to something big and last minute).

Also, the Senna content was always scheduled for May at complete earliest, so that's a no go on your part already...

Jesus, I give up.

Why would anyone bother explaining to you when you're just going to tell them they're wrong?

Just ignore him and the 14 year old argumentative child (imagine his poor teachers!) who have prattled on for pages and pages with the same crap..
Heck, even a mod called one of them on it, but for some reason the posts were not removed.
Their fanboism has degenerated into trolling, in my opinion.
Given the lack of "likes" on their posts, you'd think they'd get it.... :banghead:

Nice to see you're having a go at me there! My "poor teachers" aren't so poor, i'm a favoured student actually. Why don't you take it elsewhere, since it adds nothing to the conversation. Also, you might need to check the likes whilst you're at it ;)

Age doesn't mean anything, either way round. Not the most mature post from you, I must say.

EDIT - Also, why does something that you simply disagree with class as trolling, and why must the mods remove it? And also, the term "fanboy" is not acceptable on these forums.

uhm... It seems the online community can vary a lot depending on the country.
In spain people make very clear which rooms are serious and which ones aren't... and if some idiot joins a serious lobby and starts to mess around, he gets kicked immediately.
Im 100% serious, my online experience is very good in this game and was in GT5 too. I never have problems finding good serious players and I also have no problems avoiding the bad players....

Pathetic post, congrats.
I'm more than double of 14 y/o to start with. And I never disrespected anyone and I demand respect too.

He was referring to me (making some bold claims too ), but for someone posting about "crap trolling", he hasn't half done an ironically similar job with his.

He was quoting messages that were replied to me. But anyway you're welcome to join me and help me in this conversation :D

To be honest, when a thread descends to that, it's better to just walk away sometimes. Whilst I may not agree with everything you've said, you've stood your ground here.

This is the post that started my argument. Someone who likes Forza to the extent that he can't like GT6.

But I would like to point out that I never once stated that all the Forza related posts in this thread were of this kind.
That post was never edited by the poster (it was by a member of staff to merge two posts) and never contained the claimed "wanting GT to become an exact copy of Forza" at all.

So in short you seem to have made a deliberately misleading claim to try and support your point, then it seems hidden behind an edited post claim, this is behavior that to be blunt is simply not remotely acceptable for a member here at GT Planet.

Because you shouldn't have to do that for a discussion. People took my words, twisted them, and to be fair I really couldn't care less now about the whole topic.
Well given the AUP I do care quite a bit about it.

No one has taken your words and twisted them at all, you made a quite clear claim that members (myself included) asked you to back up. You stated that the post that claimed this had been edited and no longer said it, I can clarify that situation.

So can you please provide me with the details of this post.

And yes, the "likes" have it..

Those posts are now dealt with, and forgotten about. All was cleared up with the moderator and nothing came of it.

I don't know at all really how this adds to the discussion...

Yes but you miss the point, this quote, I believe is from the one time they could be bothered to even say anything atall because they had to let everyone down.. was from 4 DAYS before release.. by then many had preordered on the assumsion all of the main features would be avaliable upon release.. around this time they even said the community features would be out in, I believe, january..

I've been playing gt forever, but this vauge and irrisponsible advertising is outragous, and as I say, I can't believe people are still defending it.

I study advertising, and i'm very familiar with the codes of the Advertising Standards Authority, and in no way has it broken any laws.

This "fraud" as you're claiming it to be isn't anything like you claim it to be.

Putting words in peoples mouths again. Nobody else but you on this page has mentioned the word fraud or breaking the law. He said it was outrageous and irresponsible.

I like how people are still trying to defend GT6 and PD despite being so clearly argued against successfully in this thread. I guess some people refuse to change their opinion for anything. Well, I got a good laugh out of this thread!

Do care to read the whole discussion before you make such claims...
how people can still defend the varying degrees of fraud that has been gt6 is beyond me..

fraud.

Because people haven't different tastes...I hope you're never given power I'd hate to see what you do to a nation with that mind set you have there.

Also I've never played a two on two game or more of basketball with an AI, tell me how does one do this?:dopey::dunce:

I searched the last few pages, fraud is not found except for you and then me mentioning it. Where is that quote from?

Oh, you're going back to something said on page 2. Why? The conversation has moved on and you were replying as if someone just said that.

What I find amusing is people who say that it would be dumb to reduce the car count for GT7 to have better quality, while at the same time forgetting that from GT2 to GT3, the car count was reduced by almost 70% in order to have consistent quality. Turns out, GT3 was the most popular GT game to date.

Also, even if the standards are eliminated, they would still be able to have anywhere from 500 to 700 cars which would be comparable to where FM4 started/ended, all with graphical consistency and available interiors. People make it sound like that if GT7 doesn't have 1200+ cars, then it will be a failure and they won't be able to go back and play the older games to use their beloved cars that were "removed".

I was a GT fan, started with 3, bought 4 when it was released, bought 5P and 5 soon after they were released (despite less than favourable reviews). However, I didn't buy 6 since it just seemed like a rehashed 5.
