Could anyone let me borrow their Prototype X2010. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's the car you win from the Vettel Challenge which most can't beat. Anyway, my PSN is GT5Racer0.

I have a friend that's letting me borrow it.
I can't get back to the main menu though. I've followed the instructions from the OP. I skipped the updates, then GT5 says it needs to load data from the hard drive.. Never ending black screen? The system isn't frozen, but the game isn't loading anything.. Just sitting empty.. I don't get it. At least I backed up my save.

Unfortunately I cannot help you with it. Never glitched a car (savegame size > 6mb)

I bet somebody else will help you, but good to know I don't need to put the X2010's online :)

seems like need reset again and try it all over. i had same problems as well but sorted by making sure yo delete only gt5 data, skip updates and allow game to set up settings for system but no updates at all. go to garage change car then quit game and reload to keep car and update again. takes a while to do unless got fibre optic, but best do when going bed so not have worry about it !!!!

if get level 35 in either a-b spec can get other x2010 from ticket !!!

i can share any 0/0/0 coloured x2010, s.vettal x2010. unfortunetly i have 1/0/0 on my prototype. add spikeyshop if anyone want to glitch from me.

It doesn't matter if they are 0/0/0 to start with because they acquire a switch during the glitch
 
I have come across an odd problem that maybe some of you have found an answer for.
In doing this from my main GT5 game save to a secondary account, my main game save now shows many cars (like 15 or so) as being up for borrow when I view it from the secondary one even though in my main account I have taken all cars off borrow (no cars showing in the online tab of my garage). This has happened because I tend to modify a car (painting, overhaul, etc) before i put it up for borrow on the main account, and then I restore the main account game save after I sponge it to the secondary account. This tends to gets things out of sync and I end up with my main account showing many cars for borrow (way more than the normally allowed 6 maximum).
Anyone know how to fix this and remove the cars showing up for borrow? I haven't found a way to re-sync it. Its not really a big problem now but at some point the list could get really big and I won't be able to easily find the car I am actually trying to sponge.

Load up your main and click on your profile. I think if you exit to my gt they will be gone. I was doing some sponging and would always erase cars I ripped by accident. If that doesn't work share a car and leave the garage to my gt before quitting one of them should work

Great! Hadn't thought of trying that. I'll give it a shot, thanks:tup:

UPDATE: I tried this and it worked. Clicked on my profile and it resynced and it showed me as having no cars up for borrow- just like in my garage. Thanks!

Hey does anyone wanna loan me one of there x1's my hard drive blew out so I'm starting over and I really miss that car it's the speed and handling is a work of art! Send me a pm.
 
I acknowledge that I am reviving a somewhat old thread and I apologize,

But I was wondering (and I figure this is the only place that could/might offer an answer) why I am not able to do this on the car RX-7 LM Race Car. Can anyone offer an explanation or postulate a reason why?

Could anyone tell me if this glitch is still available after the 2.07? My ps3 broke down and I lost all my cars, including a chaparral 2J.

There have been reports of Save games corrupting with certain cars. I used to do it but I stay away from it now. Plus it would take hours due to about 10 GB worth of updates.
 
Is there anyone that don't want their Academy cars? If so, I'd be happy to take them off your back via Permanent Borrow Glitch.
 
I tried the permanent borrow glitch and the game wouldn't start, I tried 3 times but no dice, when I finally finished doing the updates so I could play again, many of my cars had no thumbnails, so to restore them took a very long time. I'm never doing this again. I checked the steps one by one and followed them exactly. I think it was patched in 2.05?
 
If you don`t have a superfast interwebz I wouldn´t recommend to do the glitch. Even if, the thumbnails issues are known. I did the glitch as it appeared. Some patches to do then after I got every car I liked to have. But now there are so many (too many for me) heavy patches to do... :rolleyes:

Finally I wouldn´t risk to corrupt my savegame...

I did glitch other day to get the nisssan leaf gt and it not work anymore as update to v2.07 and took long time too install again afterwards !!!!
 
So this glitch doesn't work at all anymore? I'm hoping it does because it's the only way I'm going to get an X2010 Prototype, there's no way I can gold the special events. :( Should I give it a go? I will back up my save data.
 
well can try bud as i tried get nissan leaf and not a chance, unless it was my connection play up but not sure on that as system took a lot hours updating so had play pc gams !!!!
