Great Race!

I watched about half the race, and thought that Speed did a very good job with its coverage.

Speed spent a lot of the race with the camera's focused on the GT2 race (which was close all race long) instead of just following the 1st place P1 car for the entire race.

Those Peugeot's sure are fast!

I'm not sure I like the amount of diesel smoke that both the Peugeots and the Audis are emitting. The Speed commentators said that they thought that extra smoke was being emitted because the engines were on the edge/high rpm and trying to produce that little bit of extra horsepower.

Bad mistake by Risi Ferrari at the end, but they must have been tired and just didn't take their time to give the car enough fuel during that last pit stop.

The GT battle's just have been a lot more interesting this season the the LMP battles. So good on them for keeping the cameras where the action is at and next year should provide a whole lot more.

But I didn't see nearly as much smoke coming from the Audi as I did the Puegot. And that brings up a point I remember the commentators saying during the 24 hour of Le Mans about the exhaust there too, But in that case the Audi was worse, I think. According to the ACO rules no exhaust smoke is to be visible during the course of the race, But in both occasions during the whole race both cars had obvious black exhaust coming out of there cars. I know the ALMS rules tend to be less strict on there rules then the ACO, but I wonder why this was never brought up by the stewards in either case.

Aww. Still, the Bemmer (or is it Bimmer? I can't remember which) is really fast in this race.

Bimmer = BMW Cars of which not many people know this and mistaken it as Beemer which means -->

Beemer = BMW Motorrad in which also sometimes incorrectly spelled as Beamer :)

Back on topic, I'm glad that the BMW secured the GT Championship :D:tup:
 
Was really impressed by the pace of the GT3R Hybrid & the 04 Ford GT.

Disappointed that the LMP2 wasn't as exciting as it could have been due to the RS Spyder's engine problems.

Also, Gavin broke his trophy...

The bit starting at 4:10 made me smile, I wonder if it was meant that way for the appreciation of old, diehard, Le Mans and endurance racing fans! :)
