Petition for Ferrari to be in GT4

You hate EA because they put Ferrari vehicles in an obviously arcade racing game?

Even if Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, or any other ****ing car company you can think of, was in GT, would you even drive them? Seriously think about it. We don't even drive half of the cars that were in GT3.
 
Has anyone ever thought that maybe Ferrari (and Porsche) don't want to be in GranTurismo?
- I can't see Ferrari wanting one of their £110,000 exotica blown away by a modified £20,000 Civic!

- Its not as if they'll gain any more customers from appearing in GT.

WTF is an acornym generally standing for "What The ****"... although in this case "Who The ****" is probably more appropriate!!

In regards to Ferrari & Porsche being in GT4... I'm going for the apathetic approach... If they don't want to be in the best racing game until GT5 then they're more than happy not to be... but it's their loss...

I do beleive that they will lose sales as TVR Sales grew massively when GT1 came out as the Cerbera was one of the best cars in the whole game (The Griffith was pretty sweet too!) although TVR and Ferrari are different beasts (One makes Affordable Sports cars, one doesn't) so I can see that a direct comparison can't really be drawn!

Whilst i agree that TVR (amongst others) probably did gain sales since its appearence in GT2 - Ferrari can sell every car that they have the capacity to produce, and are well known globally. TVR on the other hand were almost unknown outside the UK.

Whose role has actually changed following the death of the FIAT president, Umberto Agnelli. Montezemolo now heads the FIAT group whilst Jean Todt heads Ferrari.

Hardly needs much supporting...

I was pretty sure we had posted from a decent source that Ferrari did indeed want to be included in GT. I don't think it's for a lack of desire on part of the company or the developers, it's just been a legal problem, which may be solved for all we know, which is nigh to nothing.

seriously i cant think of a good reason why ferrari isnt in the game now.

i suppose its main rivals in selling road cars, namely porsche (or lambo), havent turned up yet. i mean there isnt many games ferraris have been in without porsche and/or lambo being present too (excl.f355 challenge).

the competitive desire to be in gt isnt there. rufs and an asia-only diablo hardly justify official ferraris to be in the game.

if ky gets one license i think it may have a chain effect on the others. i cant imagine fords in gt4 without chevies or what have you from GM.


its about time we do something about this situation instead of talking about it. ;)

It maybe a win-win situation for PD, but if the manufacturers dont want their expensive motors showed up by much lesser models, then they have reputations to loose - quite a large stakes for them - this may explain why we haven't had them so far.
 
Be pretty sad if that was indeed the case but again, wasn't it stated that Ferrari did indeed harbour a desire to be in GT?

Can anyone provide any evidence that Ferrari have any interest in being included in GT? or is it all, as i expect, just hearsay.

But you see, the next generation of car consumers is growing up on these videogames; it's a generation that watches more NASCAR than F1 (sad but true), and when the greatest racing game of all doesn't have Ferrari, this new generation is going to start saying, "Ferrari who? I bet Pagani's better." Even I have stopped caring so much about Ferraris etc. My dream car used to be a Diablo, now it's a GT.
 
We should all give KY a donation, $10-$20 USD, 20 euros, something. I'm sure that a lot of people would do it, then he could take the money and use it to get the ferrari liscence. Everyone here (not sure how much, but estimate 30,000) X $20 = $600,000, not enough, but a considerable amount. He could pay the rest :)
 
Heres a little tip, what you, me, PD or Ferrari wan't at this time is all irrelivent. EA hold the exclusive Ferari license and until it's free PD can't touch Ferrari. No petition, no donations or anything like that would give Ferrari a higher chance of being in. Money isn't really an issue with PD being part of Sony, it's weather or not EA will share the license now (which they won't, atleast not with Sony) or weather PD negotiate the best deal for Ferrari when the license does run out.

Until November yes....... but if I controlled Ferrari I'd let PD have the license for next to nothing when it came to who gets it next. What have EA done with the license that has benefited Ferrari...... bugger all I'd bet...... but if Ferrari were in GT I'm sure even they would see some increased demand for their cars.... which can't be bad!

Yeah I want ferarri and porsches and Lamborghini.s and way more Mercedes's in the game including the SL65 !!!! 604 Hp 783 FT LBs of tourque !!! :drool:

:lol: I agree it is kind of a stupid idea becuse i highly doubt we will make any of the Licensing people give PD a liscense.

I don't know where you got this information about viewing figures (perhaps you were just refering to The US of A?) but last time i checked, Formula 1 was the most popular sport in the world, more so than football (you may know it as soccer) and certainly more so than nascar (which has a small audience outside the US) with F1 viewing figures running at 6 Billion per season! Kids don't buy Ferrari's, the average age is probably nearer 45-50. You don't spend £120,000+ on a car because of a computer game you played 20 years ago, but you might buy one (amongst other reasons ie history) because its built in the same factory as Mr Schumies multiple championship winning motors.
 
Someone here last year posted an e-mail supposedly from an employee of PD witch stated that GT wants Ferrari in and Ferrari wants to be in.They also stated that the final car count would be 1200 or so.Don't know if it was BS or not but can anyone remember this?

The first rumours I heard about GT4 (years ago) talked about 1000 cars and 100 tracks, so...
 
I have 3 porsche 911 gt3's and one diablo gt very rare cars. :) :)
