since peugeot has dropped out of endruance racing for 2012 with their 2011 908, do you think that gt5 can remodel the car into the game?

If you mean the 2011 version they could probably model it, but it doesn't mean they will. Do you really need caps lock?

We already have a 908, what would be the purpose in more of them? Also, just because Peugeot dropped out, does not mean the car has suddenly been marked as destroyed. It's probably in some museum or collector's garage.

The 2011 908 included a shark fin with different specs. I understand that it isnt marked as destroyed but since the 908 is no longer racing, peugeot might allow gt or other racing games to remodel the 908.

Frankly, we don't need another 908. We need an R10 that doesn't drive like a cow and an R15+. Then we can settle the Sarthe Diesel-wars on our living room once and for all.

We just need the R18.

Or preferably a Lola V12 Aston so we could lose to them both with maximum style.

Anyone want the Toyota TS030 Hybrid? If it works it might be a good match for the Audi's. Or maybe a couple of LMP 2's? I don't think we need another 908 though, GT has enough duplicate cars as it is.

Yea that Toyota is sick but it looks exactly like the r18 body. If gt was to get the r18, then the 908 is also a good addition because those cars ran in 2011 under the new specs by the aco. It will take a while for gt to get their hands on the r18. They can remodel r15 and r15+ since they no longer race and other racing games (forza) have remodeled them.

I'd love that but then we would have a bit of a problem. The 908 HDi is competitive against the R15+, not against the R18 or the 908 (2011 spec) because in 2011 Diesel LMPS had new regulations that limited the performance. If the R18 was to be added it'd just become another grid filler car that can't match the pace of the 908 HDi. And you know it's gonna happen with GT's traiditon of mixing awkward grids like "70's Le Mans classics vs. SuperGT", "XJR9 vs. Dream cars" and "Group C vs. LMP900/GTP/LMP1 Audi R10 that sucks".

If Polyphony want to do the R18, I've got some polygons and pixels they could have for a 'reasonable' fee...

Wait..."I've got some polygons they could have" as in you made that thing??? Whoah...credit where credit's due, it looks AMAZING!!! 👍👍👍

Forza probably has the most LMP cars. Even the 2011 Oreca 908. Not try to start a war over which is better.

The 2011 908 would be awesome. Along with an Audi R15++ and an Audi R18.
The 908 has not changed much except for the shark fin, bigger lights, etc. So I'm guessing it would not take long for pd to remodel it. the lmp to be added to gt first probably will be the signatech nissan

Either it is the Signatech Nissan LMP2 or the new Toyota TS030 Hybrid, you know, given how close is the relationship between PD and Toyota and Kaz's newfound penchant for hybrids.

The 908 is a familiar car on the exterior, but underneath it was a completely different beast.

I think it warrants a cameo on GT5.

How about they ignore the rules and take the restrictor of and give it more power, because it seems the diesels have more fuel econemy, why can't they give it more to compensate.

Which has been done in the regulations last year and will be done in another step this year. The diesels will again have less power than last year in 2012. Which is why Toyota will use a petrol-engine in their new LM-Racer, not a diesel.

Petrol-electric, it's a hybrid. Audi has even been testing their R18H, speculated to be a diesel-electric. And of course, the now retired diesel-electric Peugeot 908 HYbrid4. See a trend? Anyone familiar with Forumla 1 should know what KERS is by now. Different layouts and names, but otherwise the exact same system underneath all of these. Conventional horsepower ratings may be decreasing, but they are simply being replaced by kilojoules.

The 2011 908 had just about 600bhp, better aero, and bigger tires, and 30kg lighter. It was only 3 sec slower around LeMans with 120bhp less. In regular race tracks the 2011 908 was actually slightly faster than the one we have.

I love the P1 cars but would rather have some GT2 cars instead like the 458 Italia, either way more race cars will give me an excuse to bump my race car info thread (the green link in my sig) :p
