Hey, not sure if anyone here knows me from the WRS, but when I was staying active, I could at least finish within 3 secs. of the upper level Div.1 guys. I have played a very small amount of PGR 3 and felt confident in my times.
My question is can someone who is good at both of thse games tell me if it is worth my time to pratice PGR 3 to see if I can qualify for the Championship Gaming Series coming up soon? (it is the largest PGR 3 tournement which will attract the best non-sponsored players on Xbox Live.)
I have no expectations of winning, but when I did play for that short period of time, I was getting 5,000 kudos turns and stuff like that. I think if I put in the time, I might have a chance...
But I'm not sure, so that is why I am asking this great Gtplanet community.

The short answer: No.

The long answer: No.

GT4 and PGR3 are two totally different things. And in PGR3 you do not win by kudos. At all. In fact it makes you slower.

My roomate got a 360 not too long ago and we recently hooked up a live account. I didnt want to wait for FM2 so I went and bought a used copy of PGR3.

First, I absolutely love the in-car view with a manual transmission.

Second, This game is extremely different than GT4. I know that is a given but after playing about a month of PGR3, my skills at GT4 were lacking greatly.

PGR is a fun game, online matches can be fun if you dont have the moronic kids who spin everyone out on the first turn. I would say go for it although there are players out there who absolutely dominate this game. And I mean DOMINATE!

Drifting makes you go ALOT slower. Taking the corners properly will play well in the long run. If you have XBL and want a race, send me an invite and I'll give you a race. I almost got into one of those PGR tourneys. (Got knocked out of the qualifing positions though :()

The people that are the fastest at PGR nearly all wall ride/crash, shift glitch, and spin other people out. So no, you'd be wasting your time trying to get really good, unless you enjoy racing that way. It's still a fun game to play and can be fun online if you get a good group of racers in a room together.

^ Yes, I have noticed that the ones who are very good, seem to have to cheat to get there. I really dislike it when people exploit the game flaws.

The XBOX tag I am usually on is "FC Barca522"

My roomate is a big soccer fan, if it was my choice it would be different. Anyways, im always down for a race, if any of you guys ever see me on just ask me to play or something!
