I don't think so, wait 'til you play the games.
Wait for what?
Having seen pretty much every available video, screenshot, and soundbite for both games, my comment was an educated one.
In Test Drive you are not confined to a track. You are free to roam over
1,000 miles of roads, with landscapes that are intricately detailed after one of the most stunning places on earth, Oahu Hawaii.
Customization plays a
huge role in not only the real life automotive industry, but also in the game industry. In Test Drive you have the ability to customize the performance
and the aesthetics. There will be absolutely NO NFS bull****. All of the parts in-game are licensed from real aftermarket parts providers.
Graphics usually come down to personal preference. The cars in PGR 3 look like plastic, agree or disagree, it's a known problem and has been since PGR 1.
Being a car guy, sound is a crucial part of an automotive game. One of the biggest factors in Forza being such a success, was that it was the
first automotive game on a console to have realistic sounding vehicles. If you are a car guy and know your ****, you will be able to instantly tell that TD's cars have a more realistic exhaust note, especially on cars that have a unique sound. Actually, even the tire noise sounds better.
If that's not enough, a new vehicle will be available for download each month. IIRC up to 50 additional vehicles will be added to the game, bringing the total to 150.
I said it before and here it is again - I'm going to buy PGR 3 on launch day, but I will be thinking about Test Drive Unlimited.
