Photomode for NFSU2!....

I just got my unreleased demo for NFSU2, and theres a photo mode :dunce: You know when you get magazine covers and stuff? well instead of it automatically takin the pic and puttin it on the mag, you can move your car around and stuff to get the right angle and then you can take the pic :scared:
 
Now where could they have got that idea from :dunce:.
 
This kind of pisses me off. They steal the idea but they dont want to share the rights to ferrari and porsche :grumpy:
 
There is no license for photomode, they are two different modes anyway, NFSU2 is letting you take the pic of your car whne it appears on a cover of a mag, GT4 is a proper mode, but you can't license a mode or things like qualifying and time trials would've been licensed and appearing in one game by one developer a long time ago.
 
And you know you're better of with a SR24DET right??? Nah just kidding. I think he posted this in the right place, it's just to see how other developers are looking at GT and come up with ideas.
 
Yep I agree, it's a mode first seen in #Sega GT2002 then it appeared in GT4 but bigger and more indepth and NFSU2 is the first game to use this since GT4, SG2002 didn't mention the photo bit much GT4 is focusing on it a lot.
 
Read his post again he said it's a demo.
 
Officially not yet, it will be very soon like in a couple of weeks I believe.

Cobra it's buisness, it's what makes them money, besides PD stole the idea from Sega they took it one step further, EA have taken a different approach and made i so you take the photo for the mag covers, what EA has done here is no different to PD using an idea first used by Sega.
 
I wish some of the more dumb ass members would realise that games have been ripping each other off for YEARS. See you take an ideas from other games, and add em to your own, but BETTER!

NFS:U2 needs this mode more than GT4. In NFS:U theres no good way to see your tricked out car if its not on the menu. there's no replay in NFSU. Showing off your ride wasn't easy. The mag covers are cool, but the low resolution sux. I'm glad this is in other games. If you have something to show what better way to do it with a photomode :)
 
So is this a playable demo or is it only photo mode demo? And if it´s playable is it much improved from NFSU? The graphics, the playability?

I want this demo!!!

so how did you get an unreleased demo?? im going to check the ea ftp now to see if its there. please let me know where you got it as i would like to give it a go "please with a cherry on top" :)

ive just found this on the EA FTP, a file called "nfs5onlinedemo.zip" and its situated in the folder marked : pub\ea\demos\nfsu ?? can someone tell me if this is it?
 
It's not like it's going to be a huge deal with NFSU. You can't really do a whole lot with it. As mentioned before, it's not even a mode in NFSU2. Plus, GT4 will look 3 times better than NFSU2.

A friend of mine has the demo too.. He is connected to EA, so he could test it.
 
ive just had a look at the nfs5onlinedemo.zip file i found and its not the demo :grumpy: its a game called "Need for speed porsche unleashed" :dunce:

Uh, thats need for speed 5 like it says in the file title,

Anyway, Gtchamp. you do know NFSU IS the highest selling racing game since its release. cant be too crappy especially when there isnt one bad professional review of it. It was unfinished but it was still fun. 2 should be even more.

One question I have is, "shouldn't this be under 'Gaming in General?'" I understand GT4 will have a Photo Mode, but what relevance does this relate to GT4? For the record, I've still never played NFS: Underground. I'd like to see for myself what this game is like, but I've still never played it. And NFS:U2 looks very beautiful. I'd love to take a S15 Silvia or MKIV Supra and mod it up to be my own superweapon. My approach wouldn't be "rice," but a functional machine to take on the competition for the ever-popular "street cred." Oh, and for you girl-crazy guys, how would you like looking for the game that features Brooke Burke? Don't know her? She's going to be the babe on the cover of NFS:U2 upon release.

But answer my primary question. "This thread bears relevance to GT4 because of _____. At the moment, this is a GT4 thread because _____."
 
I believe the thread creator wanted us to be aware of the "photo mode" in NfsU2....
