I checked the Transparency & Gamut settings and it's set to grey. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled. Hell, I even went through the registry and deleted anything relating to Photoshop.

Shannon Messages 15,799 Sep 9, 2003 #4 Nevermind. I managed to work out how to overcome the problem. Select the colour you wish to change the outside area to. Grab the Paint Bucket tool. Hold Shift and click on the outside area.
