Hi everybody

Could someone of you, who allready owns the gt4, post some pics of the Caterham Fireblade?? Or even better a video!! What colors are available??

Thanks a lot

There's only one pic that I know of, on Maskrider's site-o-pics, of the Caterham in the dealership.

The picture shows an orange car, which, as I understand it, is what the real Fireblade is colored. Seeing as how I could only find information on a single real-life Caterham Fireblade, that may be the only color we get.

i got this one for you, but i'd like to have some more aswell :)

Shutting up. :)

Caterham.. judging by your name, I'm betting you're a fan of this car.. hehe. How many Fireblades actually exist?

I don't no how many fireblades exist, because it's not an official Caterham product.
I own a Caterham with a Ford 1.6 Turbo engine with 200 hp.

Great pics. Anyone have video?
The one in the game is modeled on the orange one owned by EVO Magazine's Co-editor. It is perhaps the lightest Caterham in existence due to all of the weight saving mods he has done to it.
There a a few Caterham Fireblade's in existence (including a few here in Australia), but not many. I can't wait to drive it in the game.

Nice pictures. Can't wait to drive it. Is the Fireblade basicly just a tuned verson of the Super 7?

The fireblade is a bike-engined car using a caterham-chassis.
Strongest official Caterham Product is the R500, witch means 500 hp per tonne.
0-60 mph=3.2 s.

Yep there are lot's of non-caterham fireblade lotus seven replicas about - Westfield do one, as do Stuart Taylor, MK etc.
They're a very cheap way of getting a quick car on the road. I built one myself (an MK) the engine is from a Honda Fireblade
motorbike and is 919cc in size with a 6-speed sequencial box.
The big advantage is the weigth, I can lift my whole engine and
gearbox as it weighs only 55kgs! 0-60 is approx 4 seconds, I've
never timed it myself, but other folks with the same engine/chassis have.

Theyr'e great wee cars, I love mine
All the best
Ali

This is one car that Im anxious to drive. A guy that I know is building a 7 right now. I'll get some pics if I can.

Is the Fireblade in the same class as the Ariel Atom?

The Ariel Atom that was on top gear (supercharged honda engine I think) was about 29k, my car cost about 7k.

The Atom is a bit faster in a straight line tho :-)

Very similar idea however, keep it light, real light (fireblade caterham sould weight 400-450kg) to get the power to weight ratio up. The lightness also helps a lot with getting round corners!

I can't wait to learn the Nordschleife in it, as I'm intending to head there in the summer.
I can barely wait for the PAL release.

The EVO caterham which this car was modelled on was actually under 400kg, wet!!!! He even fitted a carbon fibre steering wheel to save weight :)

I was real excited when I saw this car in the game.

This is my neighbors Seven. It's for sale too if anyone is interested.

Edit

I see, they don't call CBR1000RR's Fireblades in the US. Wish they did though, I like cars and bikes that have actual names instead of letters and numbers.

The EVO magazine editor simply named his Caterham project car Fireblade, just like Chip Foose and other American hotrod makers name their project cars.

No. It's running a Honda Fireblade engine and the cars are called Caterham Fireblades. Just like a Westfield with a Hayabusa engine is called a Megabusa.

I don't care what anyone says. These Caterhams are race cars for the road. I think of them more like two-seater formula race cars with a mid-mounted motor. And oh yeah, with lights. After looking at the picture with Fireblade colors, I wouldn't mind buying one in the game with that dark red color.

I know I said that I'd want to eventually own the McLaren F1 in the game, but with these Caterhams, these would be a joy to have. They're light, powerful, pretty damn fast, and basically, why WOULDN'T you want a machine like a Caterham? They're every bit of race car as say, a Viper, Saleen S7, or even a beautiful Jaguar XJ220.

CORRECTION: front-mounted motor. Or set me straight if I'm wrong.

I have seen these before, but I had no idea the power in these things were so small. 140HP is not enough. How much extra HP can you add to it in GT4? I love little cars with around 300HP, but this one seems to little in power. Top speed in the thing is what, 120MPH? Not enough for racing for my tastes. But, I bet I'll have fun with it. It looks cool.

Greedy, if you had the game, I'm sure you wouldn't be uploading pictures.
:dunce: :dunce:

Believe me I would. The only thing at the moment i can show is my seven.
