Confirmed. This should be a fun race, We are going to go through almost 24 hours in 45 mins. Day to night back to day!!!

As requested, here are the points broken down by round. It's going to be a close championship!

I need to practice some for the race. I have been spending a majority of this week running the current community challenge with the GTE C7R Corvette at Daytona Road Course.

Annd.... OOB at turn 1 (right hand kink) - how are we policing that? There is a lot of time gained by marginal OOB on the entrance or exit. Granted, the exit OOB is a bit more risky, but still...
 
It's super risky out there, but it's beneficial. Because of both of those, I think we should be policing it kinda hard. The beneficial part is obvious, but the risky part means there's risk for a big crash at a very fast part of the circuit. This car doesn't really like curbs that much, so it's extra risky there.

I know it is a touchy subject, Do we turn track boundry penalties on ?

First off to answer @Rednose58's question, I will personally be running Soft Compounds.

Secondly, we will not be turning boundry penalties on, they are too intrusive and will cause havoc with their automatic time penalties they add. PCars 2 boundary penalties will remain off. However, that being said, it will be the responsibility of the stewards to examine any IR's that are submitted by driver's who observe someone doing this. Please do not take it upon yourselves to start calling people out over the mic during the race. The stewards will check the replays after the races are concluded as well for this specifically. Remember, we do not penalize for a one off OOB, we penalize of repeated OOB in the advantageous areas.

Finally, @Alex ONeill please provide clarification on what is in bounds and what is considered exceeding track limits for this race at turn 1.

15: Track Boundaries:

A:
Colliding with or using walls, fences or other obstacle is forbidden, whether time is gained or not.

B:
Two wheels (except when airborne, where the vertical projection of the car onto the track counts) must be in contact with the track/circuit which includes the rumble strips and footpaths, but not grassed areas.

C:
All green areas are not part of the track unless otherwise stated by the Stewards prior to the race.

D:
Curbs, sidewalks/pavements are not part of the track unless otherwise stated.

E:
Tarmac/Asphalt or any other kind of surface mentioned above that are situated beyond the normal limits of the track, Run-off areas for example, are not part of the track unless otherwise stated

Track limits for turn 1 are as follows:

Inside and outside - 2 wheels on the rumble strip is inbounds, the sausage curb on the inside is out of bounds.

If anyone is consistantly cutting either the inside or running wide on the outside please file an IR and we will review the replay as always.

Does this mean 2 wheels on the regular curb is ok, so we can straddle the sausage curb? (left wheels on regular curb, right wheels on right side of sausage curb)

Yes, as long as you have two wheels on the regular rumble strip curb you are good.

I think there's worse things than a penalty to think about if your left wheels get on that sausage curb. I'm no psychic, but it will probably have something to do with lift off, and a wall.
 


Did some laps at Hockenheim, qualifying fuel was a 1:45:xxx. And I think the softs are the way to go.

Last week, ran hard tires up front, soft in the back. Pitted an put all softs on.

I was able to get into the 1:45’s in quali but only able to manage 1:46’s during the race and I’m losing 2 seconds a lap staying out longer than 14 laps on the softs.
 
I found the deg on the left front to be very high.

Same problem as Alex on softs - Run ok for for the first 10 laps or so, but then loose a lot of time. So, if you run softs it looks like you need to change tires during your pit stop (Hint.... Fuel and tires go in/on at the same time.... So, you can start with less fuel and top up during the pit stop without adding time)

Another observation: I ran 22 laps with hard tires. Managed to get into the low 1:47's However when the track temp fell below 20 Celsius in the night time I lost a lot of grip and locked up quite a bit. Lap times dropped to the 1:49s But when track temps came back into the 20s in the morning I was right back to the low 47s for the rest of the stint. Hot tire pressure was around 1.80 bar. Tire temps fell to the 60s (Celsius) during the night. Maybe I should drop the pressure a bit more and run with Hards?
 
Gonna race with you guys today. Reminder to all.....I am very limited right now as I'm having to turn my wheel down so I can bearly move it. If I break one of the track boundaries just penalize me whatever you need to. I've raced some the last two nights and I haven't done too bad.. Yes my ass is awake for the first time this early on a Saturday but taking 1753 muscle relaxers a day makes me sleep during the day so here's hoping I don't fall asleep while leading in front of onespace and take him out.

I made a lobby at Mazda raceway in the m1 if anyone wants to mess around.
Never mind....it crashed....
