Hi Alex. As discussed could you do me a fiver and change my selected car for the GTE Series please? Sorry for the bother. Long story.
My car choice for the GTE Series....now:

Project Cars 2 Tyre Pressure & Temp Data: Hot Pressure & Temp. Targets

Casey Ringley - (Vehicle Technical Lead for Project Cars 2)

Temp. across the tire = 10 - 20 deg. F or 5 - 10 deg. C (Can be tuned via camber)

Overall Tire Temp:
Soft Comp = 70 - 85 deg. C (158 - 185 deg. F)
Hard Comp = 90 - 95 deg. C (194 - 204 deg. F)

Brake Temps:
Straights (Temp. should stabilize) = 300 deg. C
Hard braking max. temp. = 650 - 700 deg. C

Telemetry: (Travel)
When "Travel" flashes “Red” It means you are beginning to engage the bump stop, or getting to the limits of the suspension's movement.

Rough targets for the main tire groups:

Formula Cars (IndyCar, FX, FA, FR3.5): 1.7bar front / 1.45bar rear (24psi / 21psi) at road circuits. The Dallara IR-12 oval/speedway tires like up to 45psi on the right side.

Modern GT & LMP: ~1.8bar front and rear. Maybe down to 1.6bar for a very slow track like Long Beach or higher to 1.90-1.95bar at Le Mans to squeeze a little bit more off the rolling resistance.

Touring cars & V8 Supercar: 2.0-2.15bar front and rear

Ford Fusion Stock Car: 2.4-2.6bar front and rear for road courses. Ovals might go to 3.0bar+ (45-50psi) on the right side

Light sportscars (Radical, BAC, KTM, etc): ~1.6bar (24psi)

Road car tires: All in the 2.1-2.2bar (29-32psi) range hot. Any MotorTrend readers will know how much they stop every few laps and bleed pressure to hold that target during the BDC tests.

Vintage GT: Roughly the same range as modern GT

Vintage Group 6 & Formula: Bit more flexible here. Something in the 1.7bar (25psi) range is usually a good starting point up to 2.0bar (29psi) or down to 1.2bar (17psi) to adjust for balance on something wild like the Lotus 72D

@bigtimedave, Those values are what the tires should warm up to at all 4 corners around lap 5 or 6, +/- 0.03 bar. Thus, I will take the car, make no changes (except for the tire comp. I plan on using) run six laps and see where the tire pressures peak at. I will then make adjustments, up or down, to bring the pressures into uniformity.

*Short Answer: The information regarding target tire pressures in your post, are for target HOT pressures.

@bigtimedave, in regards to the "Pit Stop Setup" screen, the tire pressures you want to set in there should be equal to your COLD pressures in you car-setup. If you can not make it equal, then I lean towards picking the closest value directly below it. Now with some cars and tires, after the tire change is complete and you leave the pits, the pressures maybe higher than what you expect. This is due to Project Cars trying to simulate tire warmers coming off of the tires. Thus, it will take 1 - 2 laps for the tire pressures to drop and stabilize around the HOT targets that you should be aiming for. Hope that makes sense. I can walk you through it more in a practice room if you would like?

I always set-up my pit tires just a little lower than the colds due to the the warmers, just wasn't sure if that was the correct way or not. thanks again.

Hey Guys,

We have put everything together to start the next season on September 6th!! We have made changes to the way the league is run and the structure as well. We will now be running actual weather for the day we are racing as well as implementing a yellow flag caution period. We have also added an additional series that will run concurrently with our regular series. This new series will be an 8 race season with one race every 6 weeks.

Hope to see you all back for the new season, please let us know if you intend to race by confirming.
