Yeah, I hopped around looking for a price point on that machine and it's about $50K with projected return on investment after 6 months in a high traffic arcade. I also read that there are machines out there that have more motion articulation that run upward of $200K - probably the running cost of that Subaru rally trainer.

Now that's some channeling BR. :)

As for the SCCA license - down here in San Diego, they only cost somewhere around $50 a year. I got a Solo2 license and that ran me $20 for a year. So real racing (IMHO) is always better than video games - but they both are very fun experiences.

I actually got to sit in this ride - dear god, I did NOT want to get out of this car. I got in and my wife snapped a photo and asked, "Well?"

My answer was an emphatic, "I'm home..." :)
