That is all so far regarding DRM, and also you can use PS4 totally offline. Sony said they are listening though so will be great if they keep it like how it is with PS3.

Have they actually said that? I must have missed that one.

If Sony does (or doesn't?) do these three things, I think they'll be shone in a much better light than the Xbox One is currently under:

- PSN/Online continues to be free
- Games can be sold at an owners discretion (this is the one I think they're the likeliest to do of these three)
- The PS4 can be played offline.

If they can give us those, I'd be... okay... with anything else they might implement. Unless they manage to dream up some really demented money-grabbing scheme I can't think of right now.

How pathetic is modern gaming when people have to wonder if you can play a single player game offline without the system locking up. Can you imagine Apple locking up your iTunes downloads if you didnt let them check in on you every so often?

I dont think the situation with the PS4 will be as bleak as what you have with the Xbox One, thanks in part to games that dont have to be completely installed to the HDD.

Also Sony stands to come out of this the big winner if they go the opposite route of Microsoft in terms of used games and DRM. Upsetting and stirring millions of fans who have supported the Playstation platform since 1995 is not worth some extra change from stamping out rentals and used games. Make them happy and they will support the hell out of the PS4

All questions should be answered in 3 days

I hope they have at least 15 minutes for GT6. A 2 minute trailer won't cut it this year. They really need to "sell" it. A lot of people felt burned by GT5. PD/SONY did in fact screw all of us with the damned launch DLC crap.

Launch DLC? I remember Pre-Order DLC, but not Launch DLC.

Same difference. Anyone who preordered it got it at.....LAUNCH. If it was available, I would've ordered the Signature Edition. And if I had the extra money, I would've ordered from every retailer to get the damned DLC. Even doing that, I/we still couldn't use the Facebook car, it was UK only. MASSIVE BURN!!!

Maybe to you, but the definition is quite different. Pre-order DLC is DLC recieved for pre-ordering. Launch DLC is DLC available for purchase to all players at the launch of the console.

While I wish we had gotten all of the Stealth Cars and the Chromeline Jaguar, I wouldn't want a 15 minute E3 presentation to make up for it.

I'd want a 15 minute E3 presentation just because I want them to talk about GT for 15 minutes. :dopey:

The E3 presentation has nothing to do with DLC for GT5. Let along "making up for" screwing the greater GT fan base. :dopey: A longer presentation would, as I indicated, "sell" GT6 and hopefully bring people back into the fold. The DLC debacle is one of the ways people feel screwed over. I'm sure that doesn't really need explaining though?

Would've been great for everyone if all of that DLC was available to all of us at launch.

No, it isn't. Pre-order DLC is usually ONLY available thru Pre-order and can only be activated by a unique code. Launch Day DLC is what you pay for separately from the game the same time the game comes out and doesn't require a code. Also, This wouldn't be the first game to do that (and I'm betting not the last either).

I get that you're frustrated and even I didn't like how it was one or the other when it came to pre-order content, but in the mist of your anger, you're mixing things up abit here and have gone into internet rage. Come on man, you're better then that.

Mmhmm, I misspoke. Not quite Internet rage though. Yes, I know the difference between retailer exclusive preorder DLC (which some retailers give you even if you just walk in on day one, unless its a GameStop frequent shopper perk at my particular store) and EA and others offering a crap load of time savers, individual cars, and whatnot.

I do have a solution for the preorder DLC that the retailers try to screw us with, but I'd rather not discuss it. Simply put, it needs to stop or certain game developers need to just say NO.

Rumor: New info about From Software's Destiny of Spirits – PS4 exclusive
PSMania
The seal is broken! The eldritch magicks separating the land of Man from the realm of the gods has been breached. The corruption of the mortals bleeds into the Empyrean, twisting paradise into an abode of untold horrors. Gods gone mad devour angels and rain curses down upon the faithful, while demons break free from their prisons and set themselves on high. The darkening of Heaven beckons warriors from beyond the Nexus, and the Destiny of Spirits falls into the hands of the brave few.

• Embark on a crusade through the twisted wastes of the Empyrean, an open world like no other

• Battle monstrous gods and their minions in challenging, skill-driven combat

• Play cooperatively online with up to three other companions, or haunt the worlds of strangers

• Gather materials, build weapons and items from scratch, and customize your gear

• Designed from the ground up for the next-generation PlayStation 4 console

• Take the Empyrean anywhere with PlayStation Vita Remote Play functionality

Seems to be the evolution of the Souls series.👍

God, E3 can't come much sooner for me. I myself (and the whole community of gamers) want answers from Sony. If they implement DRM, I'm going for the PC route.

Come to think abut it Destiny of spirits in the title alone could have some sort of spirit collecting to level up:). It sounds like it could be a killer app if it does fall in to the "souls" type game. It sounds more like a system seller than a new shooter....

I still don't care about DRM, If I by a game its mine and I wouldn't want a thief to steal it and be free to play at my expense. Yeah Some of my games were stolen, had to re buy them to finish my gameplay. If I can buy a game once and it registers to my account forever I'm good with that if I can just download it later.

No one ever thinks about games that are stolen and freely used with zero cost. Small %? Who knows, but I paid for a thief's gaming pleasure.

Nah, pre-order DLC is sometimes exclusive as you just said, but sometimes it's just free or at least cheaper or only time exclusive and will still be avaible for everyone else in the store from a certain date on.

Since a lot of discussion tends to spill over in between this thread and the Xbone, would it be a good idea to make a thread like "GT vs Forza"?

Either "PS4 vs X1" or "NOVEMBER NOVEMBER NOVEMBER SONY MS CONSOLE WAR REDUX DIRECTOR'S CUT SPECIAL SMACKDOWN SKYNET ALPHA OMEGA -3 BILL GATES EDITION"

Then all the debate can go there, and we can keep news easier to sort through and discuss with more focus in the separate threads.

Problem is we have nothing really to discuss anymore, waiting for E3... argh!

2 days...

Right, in anticipation for E3, I should've put that across first.
