Sony got a standing ovation, but they didn't show as many games.

They are Lebroning it right now.

This is a quote from the press release PDF. "Since February 2013, the number of developers joining has increased from 126 to 505." Sure Jack could've named every single new developer. But did they need to? SONY is not Nintendo and a flourishing library will not be an issue on PS4.

Their exclusives will be the major selling point as always,as it seems they are the only games that will automatically not feature any DRM

I was just watching the GameTrailers app, Jack said that on PS4, to play online, you must be a Plus member. That's ok for me, I already have Plus. BUT, does this mean all 5 people in my family have to be Plus members too!!! That's going to cost me THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS! Where's the value?

No, they said somewhere that only one + was needed per console.

i have a question. If i buy a playstation plus membership to play online will the other accounts on my ps4 be able to play online?

Dave I think a few pages back someone stated that one plus account on one PS4 will allow all the other accounts on the same console play online. Treed in a huge way.

Wow, IGN does like to stir the pot.

Weren't they saying that it will follow the same PS3 owning policies, having such a title is terribly misleading.
The title puzzled me too. Basically the used game restriction is for limited edition DLC, not the game itself.

I knew Sony would start forcing online. Playstation plus was the first step toward that decision. Seen this coming years ago.

I have always been a multi-platform gamer. I own the PS3 and 360. I am online 99% of the time on the 360. I only use the PS3 mainly for blu ray and a couple exclusives. Now that the PS4 no longer has free online, the decision is even easier for me to go with the Xbox One. If the PS4 had been free online it would have been a different decision. Then for the X1 to have dedicated servers is just the icing on the cake for me.

One thing the PS4 has going for it is no restriction to play used games. Well besides you must have Playstation plus to play the games online and you will have to pay for the online pass. So really used games just are almost not even going to be worth it on the PS4 if you want to play the used games online.

Yes, dedicated servers is attractive. I think maybe people who game a lot online will realize after the hype has died down and still won't bother with a PS4 in the US. Right now everyone is saying they're getting a PS4 but its a hollow victory and in a few years, more people will have better internet, might buy more games online and it becomes a pointless win if we see less disc sales over the next few years.

PS4 is obviously good for some right now.

I hope Sony and MS can cater for us who like GT Forza but don't want to go online regularly

Does anyone know if we can use current headsets like the Pulse or the 7.1?

Can some please explain, "PS4 will have no used game restrictions" and "games can now be used offline" ? I don't understand it.

He never said the second thing.

The key word is simply "PS4 won't impose any NEW restrictions"

In other words, as you were with PS3 games. Freely trade/sell them but if the publisher wants to add a used game pass for online, they can.

Okay thanks.

That UI video. They're not seriously trying to portray the PS4 as a way to pick up girls are they? I've tried with the PS3 for years to no avail.
