Madcatz makes some of the worst quality products, nobody with half a brain or more would protect their products.
 
If it wasn't for Rock Band and Guitar Hero, Mad Katz would have faded to some obscure little company making garbage. Now they are a well known company making garbage: Sorry but Mad Kafz is not the Samsung of peripherals.

This is new school logic. Back in the day madkatz made all the cheap accessories for everything. They still do and will continue to do that. Logitech is the high end accessories company and madkatz is the cheap option.

It's nice to have options. When it comes to something like a wheel, you get what you pay for. Someone on a really tight budget buys a Mad Katz wheel thinking its going to perform like a real car. All they get is frustration. Again, having inexpensive options is a good thing as long as the consumer isn't misled.

With a moderate amount of use, my GH:WT guitar had the paint scratched off by my ring finger and my son's, from strumming. Their products definitely a high profit margin.
 
Never got anything from Madcatz until I got that wheel. Worst purchase ever, Steering delay was dreadful (Even with the game it Supposedly works with) and it didn't even work on the Laptop. Got rid of it and got a Thrustmaster FGT wheel, its not a T5000 or a Logitech but it does a hell of a lot more then the madcatz wheel ever did and unlike it, rFactor and GTR2 recognize it (and NR2003 as well :D).

Best third party controller for the PS2, by far. Lasted two weeks of intense I-Ninja and TMNT gaming action before it was broken. Two weeks is pretty good for Mad Catz. :sly:
 
I got some MadCatz stuff for the PS1, all broke within a year, never bought any of their rubbish since.
 
I have a original Xbox controller from them. It has a cord a foot long and it still works since 2005. No button delay, everything works perfectly fine.

You explained how it could be bad in your comment. And it's MadCatz, you never really know the extent of how bad it can really be.

You've never lost irreplaceable photos because of an SD card failure, apparently. Or not been able to take pictures because of said failure.

No I haven't, because if I have anything on a memory card, I have it somewhere else also.

In some cases I have three copies of the same file, my GT5 save file is a good example.

It's not possible to transfer pix to a PC while you're out in the field with the camera. So how could you transfer them elsewhere? Yeah, one of THOSE type of failures. I had a 16gb card go bad at a race track. Sure, the company replaced the card. But what about the pix I took that were lost and the ones I couldn't take because my other card was already full?

Solid state DOES fail. Usually at the worst time.

When it makes it a habit to corrupt my saves multiple times compared to an official Sony branded memory card, it gets that title from my accounts.

So many cars and secrets lost.:grumpy:

I'm sure that there is a camera that has a function to back up to some sort of cloud. If not, why not?? Or even to connect to your home network and store them on your home PC/tablet. If only such a device existed.

Guess what happened to my memory card?

The whole data corrupted and was no longer readable by the PS2. Lost tons of saves and the card was no longer usable, yeah greeeeeaaaat...

How? Via sim card support? Using the phone net? Can you even imagine how many hours/days it would take to upload all that stuff?

Uploading 4gig in a 2g net... awesome.

When you are out and nowhere near your home network, how will you transfer them? Lets say, your climbing Mount Everest. Got it now?

Or are you just arguing for the fun of it? Even my daughter has more compelling reasons when defending her side.
