The truth is people are considering to buy an uber lame anti consumer spybox One only because of Forza.

If Forza wouldn't exist, everyone interested in a next gen console will buy a PS4. But a great console need great games. Don't get me wrong Driveclub will be nice but hasn't the potential to compare with Forza 5, let's not even start the argument, Forza 5 > Driveclub, period. So why a sim/cade user should buy a PS4 at launch? Not enough good reasons yet.

Don't forget about halo fans. I'm a loyal halo fan, but I'm not going to get the Xbox one at launch

So the account I have on my PS3 will also be accessible on PS4 at the same time?

Are you asking if you could be logged into your account on both consoles? Interesting. We can't do that on PS3. I hope they change it on PS4.

Will 3D gaming be important on the ps4?

ESPN is dropping their 3D channel. The fad is fizzling out.

Halo is a franchise I never understood. The concept has been the same ever since the first launch, the Fps feel to it just does not ooze me like COD, BF or Crysis and Im not a fan of that star wars genre. Mass Effect 2 used it perfectly so why cant Halo?

What's wrong with Halo?
Nothing wrong with Halo, as I said it is a nice game but a Destiny can be a sort of Halo for PS4 and shooter genre is so common that you'll have a wide range of choice.
Driveclub can't be a Forza 5 for PS4. No way. Sony need at least a Project Cars up and running as soon as possible to reduce the gap. And GT6 can't be just a PS3 port.

How the hell can anyone know anything about drive club. Nobody knows for sure wether it's competition for Forza or not. I would laugh my socks off if it not only was competition for it, but wipes the floor with it. The graphical detail seems to be there. Who knows the level of racing that's involved.

And then if it isn't, GT6 is due for release on PS4, so if drive club doesn't do the job, GT might.

Oh, I agree, people will be purchasing XBone, but apparently, not near as much as PS4.

It turns out the pre-order battle between the PS4 and Xbox One has been decidedly one-sided in the week following each console manufacturer’s E3 media briefings. Just one week after announcing the Xbox One price and PS4 price, Microsoft and Sony (respectively) have taken dramatically divergent paths in the sales department, with a reporter from Forbes and one analyst saying the PS4 pre-orders on Amazon and at GameStop are outselling Xbox One pre-orders by a two-to-one margin.

According to Colin Sebastian, a videogame analyst from Baird, Sony’s PS4 is outselling the Xbox One on both Amazon and GameStop, although he didn’t reveal specific sales data. The information isn’t entirely out of context, as a poll on Amazon’s Facebook page showing 95% of the poll respondents claiming that they intend to pre-order and purchase a PS4 before an Xbox One. The poll was worded in such a way that it doesn’t say those same people wouldn’t buy both next-gen consoles, but if given the choice to buy only one, the PS4 is the clear favorite.

I have to wonder what the articles will be like once uneducated people take there XBone from the store to an internet-less location.:ouch:

Let's start with content: no proper Motorsport racing, no Touring cars, no GT race cars, no LMP's, no Group C Prototypes, no officially licensed tracks, and no open wheelers. Driveclub concept is more toward Need For Speed and Forza Horizon.

Who's comparing them? It seems you're the only one that's bringing both of them up in that sense. :odd:

Has anyone here got any theories as to why MS has gone to such lengths to alienate their core fans?

I can't figure it out.

It is a bold step and their methods will probably seem to hit their goals in the rich countries that they are tagreting the Xbone with ,it does some impressive things no doubt and maybe they felt that after the PS3 sales caught up and outsold the 360 that Sony will always have the better games ,so they'll go with innovative features that won't appeal to everyone but will still sell the console and maybe they thought Sony wouldn't go to such lengths like No used games restrictions ,offline gaming and a 100$ cut for the PS4 after how they launched the PS3 .

AT first glance it might seem the Xbone is just one mis calculated call after another but maybe 2-3 years from now people might see some appeal in what it offers /2 cents .

Also, who's comparing it to Forza? Maybe it's not trying to compete with Forza at all

EDIT: Tree'd.

Amazon's facebook poll on the superior console... ~39,000 vs ~2,100 PS4 X-ONE

Launch and Standard Editions? Amazon and your multiple listings. Launch just being all the other editions, just a page that brings you to the others.

Arrogance. Microsoft had built up quite the fan base with their last two consoles. Some of those people will stick with ms but a large chunk will seemingly shift to ps, Nintendo or PC. It seems that Microsoft had underestimated their fans. They probably thought those guys would be all over the xbone. As we both know, the reaction hasn't been good and ms needs a bit of damage control.

Their launch lineup will be more impressive but I've no doubt that Sony will catch up over time.

I had this thought last week. While SONY is focusing on pleasing gamers and developers, Microsoft is focusing on pleasing publishers and stock holders. The stock holders are not too pleased.

Notice how Mark says FPS are important to us?

I hope the next gen doesn't have an over saturation of generic FPS games.

But Call of Duty Dog is ready for deployment on the next gen already.:indiff:
