From my understanding, Microsoft manufacture Xbox one's in Brazil, therefore avoiding the import taxes. Sony are yet to start doing that with PS4.

Oh That Explains it, wonder if the extra sales merit a factory.

PS4 potential buyers are dropping like flies :scared:

I panicked when Drive Club was delayed. But after thinking it over, Drive Club is just one game. Davethe Stalker's list of PS4 launch games is impressive indeed. 32 titles, and a few are free to play or free on PS+. PS3 only had 13 games at launch. Give me Battlefield 4 over Resistance Fall of Man any day.

Need for Speed Rivals will take the spot of Drive Club as the launch racer for me.

You have to consider what is decent game worth paying for. NFS Rivals is not, as Knack also it isn't Which is understandable this game is now in Bundle with PS4.

Only one game in my opinion now worth buying with PS4 is Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag, only problem with this is it will be also available on PS3 and with less money. It's a fact that PS4 games would cost more than PS3 games ever did.

I even don't want to thing how much expensive would be limited editions of big hits like GT 7, or MGS 5 or i don't know let's say Last of US 2 in the future.

For me personally to buy PS4 with a game is a logic solution, but the thing is it should be exclusive title. Like WatchDogs was suppose to be, or DriveClub. Delaying those two games put some of gamers on hold. Right now i would have to be really great supporter games Like Killzone and Battle Field + Dog to purchase PS4 with one game to play.

I'm not. :guilty:

I have kids and I have never had any interest in Assassin's Creed for one simple reason, piss poor hay physics!!! It's as bad as a wrestling game with horrible mat physics with wrestlers doing the "moon walk".

Knack is appealing to families, as there is no LBP or Ratchet & Clank at launch or even in the launch window. As much as I don't like it, NFS Rivals would have to satisfy the need for racing fans, there isn't any other offering. At least with PS3, we had the MotorStorm demo to play for months waiting for the full game. S

ome people, like myself, don't care for shooters at all. When I play COD or any other shooter, I am nothing but a stat padder's wet dream. I did have some fun with the Resistance 2 Beta hiding in the distance with a sniper rifle or running directly at the enemy with wreckless abandon. That style of gameplay gets old though.

And once more, Target is giving $100 gift cards to people they screwed over by canceling our preorders.

Everywhere I seem to see here the games are £48-£55 which is something around $70 odd? Maybe more?

Hell no son. I've played both. Resistance Fall of Man destroys BF4 in everyway. Fun factor, sound, graphics, and destructability. Okay, maybe not those last 3, but don't talk trash about Resistance Fall of Man. People are still playing that game online because of the customizable servers and dedicated servers. Something that Killzone Shadow Fall will also feature which is why Killzone is the best next gen FPS so far not BF4. Also the best looking.

Im speaking of Resistance 1. I assume your speaking of one of its sequels?

I havent played BF4, but if its as good as BF3 I'd take it over RFOM easily. Also I never said RFOM was a bad game.

He was talking about Fall of Man which was a great launch title. I spent so much time on that game. It was the first FPS I liked.

Target Bomber!

Defensive much? I'm not sure how saying you prefer one game over another is "trash talking" the other game.

Same here. Resistance is one of my top game series. Loved them.

Everywhere I look, PS4 games are 50 quid. Conversely, over in the US, games are $60, the same as current gen games. Umm, why?

I can buy newest PS3 game like GTA5 for 73$ this game held it's price for so long. The same thing was with Tomb Raider, Last of Us, and many more good games. But i cant Find new game for PS4 for lower than 85$

PS4 games are way much expensive than PS3 games, no one would disagree

I'm hesitant to place an order because I don't know how long I'll have to wait. Is there a retailer that will at least tell you when they will be there?

Then that's the fault of the retailers. Exclusive games that are comming from Sony are staying at the same Price as the current gen games. I already provided you with proof of this... That some individual retailers might choose to Price them higher, is a different thing all together. In Denmark, the prices are the same for both current and Next gen games.

There off course cheaper games like for example WRC 4 which price is lower but this still applies to PS4 games. You can't buy for example Assassin's Creed 4 for PS3 and PS4 in the same price.

Read the link that I provided you in an earlier post. The Price increases that you're seeing is a result on individual retailers cashing in on the opportunity to sell games at a higher Price simply because they're Next gen. It's not because the puplishers are selling them at a higher Price (in theory, it's possible for 3rd party puplishers, but it's not likely).

Ill hope you are right.

I've real earlier this year that prices for games on PS4 will be significantly higher. So far i can find confirmation of this let say theory of who ever and wherever wrote that.

Most PS4 games I've seen are going for about £50. I think this is just because it's Europe though and we pay through the nose for everything.

Ps4 Day 1 patch:

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/10/25/ps4-system-software-update-1-50-details/
The system software update 1.50 is approximately 300 MB, and will include the following features:

Remote Play
Users will be able to access PS4 titles displayed on their living room TVs and play them on a PS Vita system over Wi-Fi networks by using PS4 Link (Depending on network environment or titles, remote play performance may vary outside of the home). We anticipate that most PS4 titles will be playable on the PS Vita system through Remote Play. The latest PS Vita system software version, to be released soon, will be required to use PS4 Link.

Second Screen
Users can use the PS4 Link application for the PS Vita system, and PlayStation App for iPhone, iPad, and Android-based smartphones and tablets, to use these devices as second screens in supported titles. PlayStation App has the ability to enable users to interact with games with their mobiles devices. For example on The Playroom, a title pre-installed in all PS4 systems that requires PlayStation Camera, users can draw pictures on their mobile device screens and flick them towards the TV. The images then appear as a 3D object within the game.

Record, take screenshots, and upload gameplay effortlessly
The PS4 system provides dedicated, “always on” video encoding systems that enables seamless uploading of gameplay. Users can share their epic triumphs by simply hitting the Share button on DualShock 4, take screenshots or scan through the last 15 minutes of gameplay, tag it and return to the game—the video uploads as the user plays. At the PS4 system’s launch in North America, users will be able to share their images and videos with friends on Facebook and screenshots with followers on Twitter, though users will need to sign up for individual accounts to use Facebook and Twitter.

Broadcast and spectate gameplay
The PS4 system also enhances social spectating by enabling users to broadcast their gameplay in real-time to game fans around the globe, using Ustream and Twitch live internet streaming services (users will need to sign up for individual accounts to use Ustream and Twitch). There are two ways for users to view live broadcasts. First, the Live from PlayStation application on PS4 aggregates streams from all PlayStation users. Second, users can spectate friends’ PS4 gameplay from PCs, and applications such as Ustream, Twitch, and browsers, which are installed on their mobile devices. These applications can be easily started up via PlayStation App, and users can also use these applications to post comments to gameplay broadcasts. Furthermore, users with PlayStation Camera can stream camera images and microphone sounds along with their live gameplay broadcast.

Play as you download
This feature enables users to play supported digital titles as they are being downloaded. The time it takes to begin playing will vary depending on game data size and network environments, and not all titles will support this feature When a game is purchased, users can start playing after PS4 downloads a portion of the data, while the rest of the game is downloaded in the background during actual gameplay. Games may be downloaded in stand-by mode.

Multi log-in
A maximum of four users can log-in to a single PS4 system simultaneously. These players can use their own save data to play games, and also earn trophies on their own Sony Entertainment Network accounts even when playing a multiplayer game together on a single PS4 system.

Party (Voice chat)
By using the Mono Headset bundled with the PS4 system, users will be able to chat with up to eight friends enjoying different applications or games. Furthermore, users can use Party to chat between PS4 and PS Vita systems.

Face recognition and voice commands
Users with PlayStation Camera will be able to register their facial image onto their PS4 system, and login to their system using facial recognition instead of DualShock 4. Furthermore, users can use either the microphone of the Mono Head set connected to DualShock 4, or PlayStation Camera to navigate through the PS4 home screen (PlayStation Dynamic Menu) with voice commands to start up games and shutdown the system, among other features; please refer to PS4’s online manual for recognizable voice commands.

Background music player
Users can enjoy gameplay while listening to music in the background with Music Unlimited, a cloud-based digital music service. Users can also voice chat with friends while listening to music. Learn more about Music Unlimited here.

Online Multiplayer
PlayStation Plus members will be able to play PS4 titles online with other players via the network. PS Plus makes it easy for members to join available online multiplayer matches in a variety of ways, including the ability to easily join a game from a live stream broadcast or Party voice chats.

Blu-ray Disc and DVD player
Users can enjoy not only gaming on their PS4 system, but also Blu-ray and DVD video contents. When using for the first time, users must connect to the internet to activate this feature.

So background music is only available through SOE Music Unlimited? Yeah SCREW THAT!!!

Looks like you can only share images and video through facebook and twitter.

I'll pass.

Without a doubt better options will be patched in sooner rather then later...this is just a marketing deal Sony struck with those social websites....

Some good info, thanks. I have a couple questions though.

So would we be able to chat with friends via the PS4 Camera?

I haven't used the SOE Music Unlimited before, can we upload our own music there or is it just streaming like Pandora?

Jerome

Just streaming.

It's a subscription streaming service. I think $120 is standard price but they have deals throughout the year. Last November there was a PS+ sale for $12. I jumped on that one and thought it was decent.
