(I hope this is the right place to post this, if not please move it. If it's inappropriate, just delete it)

As some of you may know, the second oldest race circuit in the U.K, Castle Combe in Wiltshire, is in trouble.

First limited by a noise order preventing it from hosting it's big Summer money maker (F3/British GT), it is now under threat of complete and permanent closure.

In order to silence the NIMBY's (who, in fact, live many miles from the circuit, with no complaints from the residents living right on the circuits doorstep) we have set up a petition.

The more signatures, the better, so get signing!
All that's needed is your name, and your email address (which can be set to private, just used for verification to keep it all legally acceptable).

Let's keep U.K Motorsport alive! Many, many, many thanks to everyone who signs.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I go to Castle Combe many times during the year and never fail to have a great time. Have also driven round this great little circuit a few times, Great fun.
Don't let it die!

Not from the UK, but the same thing is happening over here too.
Also people (not even Belgians) bought a cheap piece of land, because it's close to the MX circuit, and than start protesting against it.
At the moment the Circuit is closed again because of this protesting.
To think it's already there for around 50 years and only 1 person has the right to complain, because he lived there before they build the circuit.
And he isn't.
A small group is complaining but there are a lot of people in that neighbourhood who want to keep the circuit.
And with Begian laws they find new ways every time.

Ive been though castle coombe before, Its a very nice little village/area. I can kind of see why people would complain about the noise :0 but why now? Have they run out of other things to complain about? Its not like its constant noise, just at a few the weekend afternoons it must get a bit noisy.

Keep the circuit open, just tell the residents to turn their hearing aids down:rolleyes:

I scribbled something down about being proud of it.

It took 3 hours and more to get there last time i went, but id go straight back again cos of how nice a place it was to be at.

Better viewing areas and easier access roads than a lot of others ive been to.

Get your names down
:irked:👍
