I am not going to preach, I am not going to beg you, I am only going to ask you. At the moment our country is in need. There are Americans dying because power is going out in hospitals, and because of Katrina, Blood supplies will become short. I urge you and kindly ask that if you are a donor, please call the Red Cross or go to www.givelife.org, register and set up an appointment. These are not immigrants, these are not aliens...These are AMERICANS that are dying because alot of us are not doing a damn thing to help. If you live in the United States please, go and donate blood. If your afraid of something, don't be, when filing the questionaire it is completely confidential. All it takes is a trip to the nearest station, 5-10 minutes laying down on a bed/stretcher. It is very easy and it will greatly help people in need. Just think, there could be a little girl that is going to lose her mother right now, just because they can't find a sutable donor for her.

Gave blood today at work. It only takes a few minutes, you get to save some lives, you can feel good about doing it, plus you get cookies and juice afterwards. There is no reason not to give blood.

Amen..lol cookies and juice. I don't get it. I went to give blood and I was tired. After i was completely fidgety and hyper, lol. And yes, It barely takes any time, and you get the nice warm feeling of knowning that your donation can save up to 3 lives.
